installed font missing InDesign 17.2 macOS 12.3 (Monterey) and macOS Catalina
Different clients have the same problem. Installed fonts on the system are not recognised by InDesign 17.2. Other Adobe applications recognise the font and it can be used in those applications. I can recreate the problem, my colleague not. After downgrading InDesign to version 17.01 everything works fine.

We've just released InDesign 17.2.1 version which addresses this issue.
Please update to this latest version using Creative Cloud Desktop application.
In case the fix does not work immediately for you, please try the following:
1) Quit InDesign.
2) Delete the following:
on Mac:
/Users/[yourname]/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign
/Users/[yourname]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign
on Win:
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign
C:\Users\[yourname]\AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign
Relaunch InDesign & see if it works properly now.

PLEASE FIX THIS BUG! I have purchased fonts that work in everything from Word to Illustrator on my PC. InDesign 2022 is the only fail. Of course THIS IS CRITICAL - fonts are key to every design with a word on a page.

I'm using Indesign 22 with Monterey upgrade and this font issue is happening and after 30 years as a graphic design professional with the last 5 years being so easy - this bug sucks royally!!! I've done all the fixes suggested and more and nothing works.
THIS BUG NEEDS TO BE FIXED BIG TIME!!! -

Adobe, please resolve this issue ASAP. Our Corporate font no longer works with InDesign 17.2, it's really not pro.

It's bad enough that Adobe in its infinite greed is forcing us to jettison useful fonts, and negating the work of thousands but now the Open Type fonts don't work either. How will we know when this ridiculous problem has been repaired?

This is ridiculous. "Pay to have access to our fonts. It'll be great." "Oh wait, maybe only some of our fonts." and best yet, "Even though you pay to have this work, if not enough people vote that this is a problem, we're not going to fix it." Seriously?
BTW, rolling back to 17.1 does not fix. Rolling back to 17.0.1 does.

Same problem also occurs on macOS Big Sur. Another day, another InDesign bug introduced by an update. Incidentally it also refuses to see the same fonts if they are in the Document Fonts folder of a package.

Do we really need to use a separate account to post a bug to you people? And do we really need to vote to fix another Adobe *****-up?
Bugs are reported, you fix them. Particularly when it is a locked-in service like Adobe Type.

This is making me crazy. A font I use extensively for a particular project works in Illustrator but not InDesign 17.2 on macOs Monterey... I hope this is fixed ASAP, because the workaround (create text frames in AI with the font, outline text, place in InDesign) is slowing down my workflow.

Hello, the font Fago OT https://www.fontshop.com/families/ff-fago is not displayed in InDesign 17.2, macOS Monterey 12.3.1, Apple Silicon. In Illustrator it works fine. Please fix it.

3 computers with Windows 10, Version 21H2, OS build 19044.1645, InD 17.2 were unable to see the Symbol Std font. Reverting one of them back to 17.0.1 fixed the problem right away, didn't even have to re-install the font.

I'm writing on behalf of Dalton Maag to underline that this bug is a major issue that is affecting a growing number of clients. Thanks in advance for looking into it urgently.
This forum highlights some workarounds that others have found, and which we have also tried on our end but to no avail: https://forum.glyphsapp.com/t/indesign-v17-2-and-gravecomb/22131/19
