I have had the same issue under the same conditions. It seems to have started after I updated to 15.0.2. I'm having the same issue with English. Can not force a spell check and dynamic spelling is not working.

This is quite frustrating! This feature is crucial in my line of work. Can we please have an update?

I have the same problem - spell check works fine with a new document, but not documents created in older versions, which most of our publications are. Please fix!

Almost a week and still no update. This is so frustrating and a causing real problems – I feel like a tightrope walker whose safety net has been removed!

Spell check note working is a major issue at work. I see it's under review. I hope it gets resolved asap.

So there is a bug with Indesign 2020 causing Spell Check to not function.

This issue can be replicated by taking a file that was previously created in Indesign 2019 and opening it and saving in with Indesign 2020. Spell checking that document will not work. No matter what settings you try it doesn't recognize any of the text.

If you open the original document before converting it or working on it with 2020 spell check works perfectly.

You can also take a page from the 2020 document that isn't spell checking, Open a new file in 2020, cut and paste everything from that page and then spell check works.

The document behind in the attached screen shot is the cut and pasted page, showing spell check working. Both pages are in Indesign 2020.

This is a huge problem as you can't open 2020 files in 2019 without converting them, running spell check in 2019 and one by one going to the 2020 document and fixing each word. This is a total nightmare!

Spellcheck is such an essential function of indesign, PLEASE FIX THIS BUG ASAP!

I can't believe Adobe released a version with a bug like this. This is a "big deal" for people trying to get newsletters and projects completed. This needs to be fixed NOW.

Please fix this ASAP as we can't produce accurate documents right now and it is impacting our business.
