I use 2023 version and have this problem too. A week ago both Character and Paragraph panels suddenly became empty. I restart my computer and it fixed. But today my Character panel became empty again. I restart my computer a few times but the problem didn't solved. Please help...

I was working in Indesign and my top options panel disappeared. I tried to get it back by Windows-Workspace Reset. Didn't work. Then I tried Window-Control still didn't work.

Reset the Preference to Solve this.

1. (Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
2. (Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Using InDesign v 14.0.3 and the control bar will only show Objects and otherwise will stay blank. Issue is not fixed.

I am still having this issue in 14.0.2

Launched the app today and it's blank. I see the launch panel then nothing when the app is open.

Same issue in Windows for InCopy 14.0.2

I get this exact same issue in InCopy. Nothing seems to fix it. Anybody have any ideas?

No, this is absolutely NOT fixed. This issue continues to occur for me in BOTH Indesign 13 & 14. It affects Object Styles, Character Styles, and others. Please get this corrected. A quick Google search reveals that this has been going on FOR A DECADE at least.

Not interested in having to reset prefs once a week just to get basic functionality out of your software.

I am experiencing issues as well. I can only see the Objects and Other control panel tools. I only experience this issue when working from a single screen on my laptop. If my laptop is connected to an external monitor with extended desktop, there doesn't appear to be any problem.

So while I'm traveling, inDesign is effectively useless. PLEASE FIX ASAP.

I am using the latest version 14.0.1 and I have an empty control panel, too. Especially the paragraph control panel. This problem is not fixed!

I'm using InDesign 14.0.1. When customizing the control panel for the top toolbar, it only shows Objects nothing else. I've checked for updates and am told I'm fully up to date. can you assist as this is wasting my time.

Now all the panels disappear. Using MAC on 10.13.6
I use two screens with my panels on the right-hand screen. Each time I use CMD W to close a file, all my panels disappear. Only resetting Workspace brings them back. Not even switching between workspaces or TAB wil bring the panels back.
