we have been getting this bug also, often it will shunt text to the right etc. We use outlined text often with particular printers etc. A work around is to set up a text flattener preset and flatten text when exporting of print PDF (this also removes the issue of bullet points disapearing etc...

I love the new 2019 update for Indesign. However I am having an issue with "Create Outlines". We create a lot of proposals, presentations, and documents using InDesign that we send out to our client base. If we don't convert the text to outlines, the font will change to a default font (Arial, Times New Roman, etc) and there fore messes up the layout and look of our design. Recently I noticed that after I outlined the text, random words would shift, removing spacing between two words or adding extra spacing between words. I would appreciate if you could get this fixed as quickly as possible, I know many others are suffering from this bug as well.

I just had the same problem. Creating outlines causes spacing issues in a paragraph where the font changes from regular to bold and back to regular. It puts two spaces before the bold word and then removes the space after the bold word. I finally made it work by inserting a non-breaking space where the issue was happening but this is a temporary fix. I outline probably half of the files I work on so this is a very serious problem for me. These is happening with two Typekit fonts, for whatever that's worth.

With a document that has been created using a data merge, when outlining text it will jump to the right a couple of mm.

InDesign CC 2019 (v14.0) is adding spaces between words when outlining type and moving superscripts behind type next to it.
This did not happen with the previous version. -

Bei mir auch. Nicht nur das Schriftbild, sondern auch dessen Ausrichtung. Feature (momentan) überhaupt nicht brauchbar!

When converting text into curves/shapes, ID changes the alignment of the converted text, i. e. from left aligned to right aligned. The alignment of the converted text changes. This wasn't the case before ....

Noticed it happen with small caps, symbols, special white space characters. Kerning and tracking ignored. Also throws type left or right for no apparent reason.

yes! since cc2019 text moves when converting to outlines! this is weird :-(((
please fix it.
it's essential to make this work. by converting text to outlines it should convert everything what's contained in the text frame – letters, lines above and under the paragraphs, [new] shadows and borders. because this is how it's supposed to work! -

Superscript at the end of the line also being moved during text outline. It's being placed directly behind the character that comes before it.

Has a fix been found for this cheeky little bug yet? It's highly annoying. We've all dropped back to ID 2018 in our studio...
