Indesign cuts off effects on PDF Export
InDesign cuts off effects on PDF Exports if they get too large. (Also to mention... menues look different fot Font or Object Effects... someone realigned one of them and forgot the others.)
Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server: CC 2017.1 with Tablefix
Steps to reproduce the issues: Create a new Document that's wide enough e.g. 5000mm (happend to us on a big Banner) – Write Text - Use Effect "Bevel" - Export to PDF and watch it fail.
Expected result: A Text with the applied effect
Actual result: The Effect gets cut off (we almost printed a job like this...)
Test file, screenshot, video or GIF capturing the issue (optional): see Attachments

Hi Barry,
this is a bug I'm also seeing with InDesign CC 2018.1.
Thank you for reporting.I think, that's "only" a screen redraw issue.
Saving a document, closing and re-opening the document should be fixing it temporarily.Regards,
Uwe Laubender

Since I have upgraded to InDesign CC 2017, now 2018, this issue with drop shadows has been happening. When I open a document, the shadows don't match the type style and they are out of place. I have to open the transparency effects dialog and uncheck all and then recheck to correct. If I nudge the type with arrow keys, the shadow distorts again. I AM TIRED OF PAYING FOR YOUR SOFTWARE WHEN IT CLEARLY DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. The shadow issue is a very big deal to me. It makes using InDesign a real chore as long as I have to keep monkeying around with transparency. PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!

Thanks for looking into it – we kinda worked around this by splitting the Text into 2 parts - this way we were able to export a print PDF. Glad you're working on this - we were lucky someone saw this in prepress so we could still react and try to fix it :)
this seems to happen with other effects too.
