Anchored object in table cell
- InDesign version 13.1
- Paste anchored object next to text inside in table cell.
- Anchored object acts as normal as if pasted in a normal paragraph.

high sierra 13.5
I have a MacBook Pro 2018 and upgraded my OS to 10.13.5 last week. Ever since upgrading to High Sierra originally I had some issues with the program freezing when my computer was running lots of programs. However, after upgrading the OS last week now Indesign has become almost non-functional (I have CC v. 13.1 ). Every time I click to simply type or scroll pages the colour wheel spins and it takes literally minutes to make a single click.
I have restarted my computer, tried using different files locally on my machine and an our company server. Documents with…

InDesign 2018 13.1 crashing when saving back to Studio Server
We've just updated our studio with new macs, running High Sierra Version 10.13.4 and the most recent InDesign Version 13.1.
When we open a .indb document and edit one of the individual .indd files within it and attempt to save back to our Studio NAS drive/Server on our ethernet network the program crashes, corrupts the entire file and makes no effort to restore the file.
We are also running our old Macs, on Yosemite 10.10.5 with Indesign 2017 and have not experienced this issue at all for the 7 years we have used these machines.
We’ve looked on various forums…

ID crashes when exporting to PDF, but not to JPEG
I'm using InDesign 13.1 for a simple 12 page booklet (see attached)
First issue: ID was doing background work on a file for about 4 days and then ID crashed. Now whenever I open the program it asks me if I want to do "Automatic Recovery" for the file. If I click YES or CANCEL the program crashes. If I click NO the program stays open and I can continue to work. But if I go to export the 12 page booklet to PDF it crashes.
I have: (1) uninstalled and reinstalled ID; (2) tried to export the file to…

Repeatable InDesign Crash with Open Office Data in the Clipboard
I am running InDesign CC, the current version as of March 2018, however I have seen this same bug in older versions of the program. It is not unique to this version.
We use Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0. If there is ANYTHING in the clipboard copied from ANY part of Open Office, it will cause a repeatable InDesign crash. The clipboard data could be text from the OpenOffice Writer program or cell data from the OpenOffice Calc program...it doesn't matter.
With Open Office data in the clipboard, if I attempt to use any of the right-click menus, or choose an item…

InDesign 2018 crashing when I go to linked endnote text
I'm working with linked endnotes in InDesign 2018 (version 13.1), but my file originated in InDesign 2015 (I skipped 2017). I have already saved the document as an InDesign 2018 file but seem to be having problems importing a document with linked endnotes.
I'm starting with an old InDesign file because I'm working on volume 2 of a multi-book series and want to maintain all my old styles. I don't know if that's relevant, but I have worked successfully placing linked endnotes from word in previous books already. In this one, the endnote references appear to have links but when…

Indesign 2018 is a disaster, full of bugs and crashes at any time.
This was a good program, but now it's just a misery. Costs both time and money.
I will work with older versions in the future and hope that any new player will find a better software. It would not be wrong with a phone number on the website, but you're probably ashamed.

Adobe InDesign/InCopy cannot be opened because of a problem
InCopy will not launch in macOS 10.11.5 and 10.12.6. This is happening on two different computers, one a 2015 13" MacBook Pro with Retina and one a 2017 MacBook Pro with TouchBar. Have attempted uninstall/reinstalls as well as removing preference files.
I'm attaching the InCopy report from 10.12.6 computer but the 10.11.5 computer is currently off-site. I can add it later if I need to.
I'm also attaching a screenshot of the error message returned by InCopy when I try to launch the application.

Object style size property crashes InDesign when used with Libraries
I have recreated this bug on both Mac and PC InDesign 13.0
- Create a text box
- Insert a table with any number of table cells
- Draw a rectangle anywhere
- Create a new Object Style and set Size and Position Options -> Size -> Adjust: to Height Only
- Apply the Object Style to the rectangle
- Cut and past the rectangle into one of the cells of the table
- Create a new Library file
- Drag the text box into the Library
- Try drag the Library item back out onto the page... It should crash.
This has become very problematic for us because…
