library panels display
the background color of the library panels in Indesign and Illustrator take on the same color of the interface (as from the latest version of indesign CC 16.1) As I have the dark interface selected, the icons and other assets are almost invisible. There is no way to change it, switching to the light interface is the only thing that helps.

shift to constrain and option-drag to copy only working intermittently now
- InDesign 16.1
- In a document, select an object. Then hold shift and scale the object. Or hold option and drag to copy the object.
- When holding shift, I expect constrained proportions. When holding Option, I expect a copy.
- Both key modifiers work perfectly in Illustrator, so it's not my keyboard nor my Mac. What I get when holding shift is the same as not holding shift - unconstrained proportions. What I get when holding option is the same as with not holding option - the object is just moved, not copied.

Duplicating Page with Alt + Drag Not Working Anymore
I cant duplicate pages anymore using alt + dragging.
Alt dragging the page to the side still works (so that the newly duplicated page appears at the end).
But when I try to duplicate it to a specific location it just moves the page and does not duplicate it.This is really annoying....

Overprint Preview switches off when viewing Story Editor
I view the InDesign file in Overprint Preview.
I then need to check some text that isn't quite visible on the page.
Select the text frame and view it in Story Editor so I can ensure it matches what was supplied.

Undo reverts to last save
I'm using InDesign 2021 version 16.1, macOS version. Recently (maybe since the last update) it lost the regular undo ability. Instead of undoing by steps, it undoes all steps since the last save.
It is similar to the issue reported with InDesign 2020 (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/38991835-undo-not-working-properly-in-indesign-2020), but the bug persists in the current version even though it is reported as 'Fixed' in that thread.

After most recent auto update to InDesign the cursor is disappearing and the app freezes for 5-10 sec

inDesign - Banner warning first time using and preferences may have changed
WHEN NEW VERSION IS OPENED FIRST TIME
Can you put up a banner the first time that tells me all my preferences may have blown out because this is a new version to remind me to check?
Would not help me with this blowing out all the time...Yes - I should check color settings prior to printing...

Indesign 16.1 Insert new cross reference takes 20 minutes for the panel to load
Indesign version: 16.1
Steps to reproduce: Insert new cross reference
Expected result: New Cross-Reference panel should load within an acceptable delay
Actual Result: New Cross-Reference pane takes extremely long time to load.To add a new cross reference takes about 20 minutes for the panel to load, while editing an existing cross reference is normal. The issue is common to many documents.
I tried to go back to versions 16.0 and 16.01, but had the same issue.
I have used this feature in the past and every thing was normal.

Can't see highlighted input numbers in Medium Interface after upgrading to Mac OS 11.2.1
I just upgraded my Mac to OS 11.2.1 on Sunday and noticed that when I try to highlight numbers in the medium interface in both InDesign and Illustrator I can't see what I've selected. I think the highlight color is too close to the background color. The attached file shows that Photoshop has an option for "highlight" that is not available in Indesign or Illustrator and I have also included what it looks like when I try to highlight a number. You will see a tiny blue border on the boxes where I have highlighted the numbers.

Adobe Publish Online lacks a search bar
Having used InDesign 16.0.2 to successfully publish my document, I discovered, unlike "other" online publishing tools, the end-user has no search bar. Worse yet, typing "command" + "k" — while it does work in all browsers and in all PDF files — does NOt work in an online published document. Basically, the document is NOT searchable? That is a critical misfire for an "online" publication. Please add a search bar immediately, if not sooner. I love this new publish online feature, but cannot justify an unsearchable web document to my higher-ups.

I have noticed a very troublesome change in the export window.
In CS6, which I use frequently, the "range" item lists the prefixes used in the document.

PDF comment zoom changes
Steps to reproduce: .When clicking through the list of PDF comments and a new entry is called there is a chance that the zoom level of the Indesign view is being changed from its original setting. Expected result: the zoom level should be kept in line with the users setting. The focus should jump to the position even when a marked area might not be visible in full in that zoom level. last window size unremembered when application frame turned off
InDesign on Mac 16.102 will not remember last open document size when Application Frame is turned off. When no document is currently open and I want to open a new document it always fills the entire space on my monitor between the tools on the left and the pallets on the right. I have to manually drag the new document window to the size I want. It's not convenient and user friendly! If the Application frame is turned on - it WILL remember. But as a Mac user I want that frame turned off - like it used to be.

hide cursor in presentation mode
When in presentation mode (shift+w) I would like to be able to hide the cursor. Even if I move it to the edge of the screen, it's still visible and distracting from the presentation itself.

Selecting 'Save as' from drop-down – nothing happens
Using InDesign 16.0.2, opened a local .indd file, made an iterative change and selected 'Save As' to create a derivative file. Nothing happened, no save dialog box at all. I quit InDesign and relaunched, and that seemed to clear the problem. This has happened at least once before in the last month. Though that might have been in the previous build before the most recent InDesign update (18days ago). The app wasn't frozen or inactive in other ways, it just wouldn't let me 'Save as' until I relaunched the app. So no crash report to send on. I use the…

Help can't save any file
As soon as I try to save any newly created file I get a warning the file is damaged and changes will be lost. Also noticed past-in-place does not paste in place. Something is drastically wrong.
