The ability to apply L tags and Li to one paragraph style or as a nested tag
When creating accessible pdfs you can apply tags which is great but when you apply list tags it would be good to able able to apply the overall L tag by either adding to the style itself or give the ability to nest the Li tag

PDF of thumbnails from Print Dialog box
I'd like to send a PDF of my 3x3 thumbnails for a client instead of printing out or sending a PDF of individual digital ads. My print dialog box says Not Supported when I try to create a PDFs.
Seems like a simple fix. Anyone else?

Switch between multiple links created for one project
If you need to create multiple links for one layout, for example one for internal review and one for the client - how can you switch back and forth between them directly from the Share for Review panel in InDesign? Can it really be that if you create a new link (for whatever reason) you can never go back and update a link that has already been created?

automatic numbering according to the position in the dokument
The automatic numbering by means of a list should have the following function:
Numbering according to position in the document
That means for example, the numbering is done in ascending order from top to bottom and from left to right.
At the moment the numbering only follows in the order in which it was inserted. This is very inflexible, especially when adding images with associated numbered labels.1 vote -
Please provide interface scaling as in Illustrator and Photoshop.
Please provide interface scaling as in Illustrator and Photoshop. On a Mac / Retina display the panels and type is too small to read. Will not work to set the whole system to scaled as I go back and forth from Illustrator and PSD to Indesign, making it even more difficult to use. Thank you.

Apply 2 Masters (spread) to a Single Page (tabloid)
There are currently no solutions that I am aware of to sync a Left and Right Master into a larger tabloid page size. This is different from simply using a parent relationship among several master pages. A larger page size (digital friendly) cannot be complied from smaller master pages (print friendly). The ability to apply multiple master pages or master page items as "zones" would probably be ideal as it would allow flexibility for more customization on different page sizes.

Convert / Merge Spreads into Larger Tabloid Pages within InDesign
Many of us are using InDesign to output digital formats as well as print. The inability to convert spreads in large documents that involve things like complex tiered master page assignments and interactive elements between print friendly spreads and digital friendly tabloid page layouts is a major pain. A non-destructive way to move back and forth would dramatically simplify digital exports, and ensure a clean single large page digital presentation to the end user without hassling with software adjustments to view spreads correctly.

Alignment-options when creating Forms via InDesign
Now it's possible to set fonts/typefaces but I am missing the alignment for the text (right, left, centered) and furthermore the format-selection (currency, numbers, date, percent ...)

LayoutWindow: activePage... also need a displayedPage field
The field LayoutWindow::activePage does not change when the user navigates to another page until another insertion point is selected. I would like to be able to track the page that is currently displayed.

"Font Exceptions Table"
I seem to recall that years ago, Pagemaker had a feature called "Font Exceptions Table" (or something like that, or maybe it was Ventura Publisher). It would allow you to tell PM; "Whenever a text file calls for font A, always replace it with font B." It essentially created a preference file, a table of fonts and their preferred replacement fonts. Hoping for such a feature in InDesign. Example: I produce a periodical newsletter with Optima as the font for the body text. My customer sends me Word and Excel files in which they have used an old TTF font called Optimum. Getting a little tired of doing the Find Font thing so repetitively. Would be nice if there was a way to tell ID; "Always replace Optimum with Optima (normals, bolds, italics, etc.)." Is this possible? Thanks!

Change label for "Use Document Bleed Settings" to "Use Active Document's Bleed Settings"
When exporting a book under Export Adobe PDF > Marks and Bleeds > Bleed and Slugs, it would be helpful (for other users to avoid the frustration of learning the hard way as I just did) to know that this setting uses the active document's settings rather than each document's respective settings (Guessing this is a limitation with how PDF is constructed, otherwise is this perhaps actually a bug?), or if no document is active that it will apply all zeros.
The latter was the problem I encountered and was not expecting, as every document in my book has the same bleed settings (as I assume is the case for most users). Because I happened to have a document open for the last hundred or so exports I became accustomed to this feature setting bleed as expected, and so this was no longer on my manual checklist and consequently didn't realize the bleeds were set to zero until receiving my print proof (as I knew this was likely my final export I started to tidy everything up including closing all my active windows).
Perhaps I'm missing something obvious, otherwise I think there's a very simple change that could be made that might save others this potential frustration, which is to merely change the checkbox label to "Use Active Document's Bleed Settings", and ideally disable the option if no documents are active.
Thank You.
Edit: Perhaps a bug after all, or at least related to one?... now when I use the setting, with an open document (which has correct bleed, and whose values are entered into the four disabled value inputs), the export still has no bleed. Setting those same values manually worked. Maybe just get rid of this feature (the "use document bleed settings" checkbox)? Cheers.

Zip Fonts When Packaging
It would be great if there was an option to have fonts collected in a zip file when packaging a document. Fonts are often corrupted when transferred via the cloud, or FTP, and need to be zipped to maintain their integrity. It would be time saving if InDesign could do this automatically.

Support variable fonts without STAT.AxisValue format 2
When a variable font has one file for Roman and another one for Italic, the VF sliders only work if the STAT.AxisValue is in format 2.
STAT.AxisValue format 1 or 3 works in Illustrator 2020 and also in Photoshop 2020 if the font has a nameID 25 and postscriptNameID attributes for fvar.NamedInstance (a bit weird since Illustrator is fine without that).
If the files have only nameID 25 and postscriptNameID but the various STAT.AxisValue aren't in format 2, the named instances work in InDesign, but not the sliders: you can't choose an arbitrary value reliably.
Adobe obviously likes to make VF with STAT.AxisValue in format 2, but it would be nice if InDesign works well with fonts from other vendors, done differently. For example, since the end of June, new VF releases at Google Fonts have nameID 25 and postscriptNameID, and good STAT table (but no AxisValue in format 2). Could you check some fonts, like Bitter[wght].ttf and Bitter-Italic[wght].ttf https://github.com/google/fonts/tree/master/ofl/bitter and make sure they work well in InDesign (they already work well in Illustrator and Photoshop)?
