Quick Key for increaseing space between paragraphs.
A quick key for increasing space between paragraphs would make it quicker to explore and establish paragraph styles. It would be great if there were quick keys to adjust the spacing around the first and last line too, but the space between paragraphs seems more important, personally speaking.
How about Command + Option + Shift + up/down Arrow Keys so it's similar to the quick key to increase/decrease leading.

Allow pop-up panels such as paragraph styles editor to be resized
When the operating system font size and/or software UI scale is increased it causes the bottom of the panel to be too long and clipped off under the Windows taskbar. Most of the panel is just empty grey space so can be scaled down without losing any of the contents.

Make it possible to create GROUPS in the Pages palette and the Layers palette.
Make it possible to create GROUPS in the Pages palette and the Layers palette. Just like I can do in the Swatches palette or Styles palette.
When there are many pages (or layers) in a document, grouping them will be very handy.2 votes -
Copy Info: File Name
Would love to see an option added in the 'Copy Info' dropdown in the links panel for copying only the filename.
Super handy for searching old drives for images in large catalogues or for relinking etc.

More responsive UX on macOS
Many macOS users will agree that InDesign feels veery laggy compared to other apps (like Affinity Publisher for example). I really wish you could finally implement a more responsive UI with native macOS UI components instead of scroll views that scroll like it's 1999! :)
Adobe XD is a really good example of what I mean by "responsive" UX on macOS. I understand that XD is much younger than InDesign, but if you don't want to miss out on the next generation of graphic designers, you should really do something about it.P.S.: I can't speak for the Windows people.…

Make UI Scaling NOT affect document scaling
The recently-added UI Scaling feature also scales the size my document is displayed! Why?? When I type command-1 to view my document at actual size, I expect an 8.5 x 11 page to be that size on the screen. But if I increase the scale of the UI (tools, pallets, etc.) it also increases the "actual size" scaling of my document so it's much bigger than it should be. So, in other words, the UI scaling should NOT affect the scaling of the document rulers; 1" should always be displayed at 1".

UI Keep Options dialog (and Keep Options in Paragraph Styles)
Can you please change the layout of the Keep Options Dialog Box so that it is clearer for end users? Attached you find a proposal from my part.
The differences are:
• More space between "Keep with Previous" and "Keep with Next" + added a line in between them.• Keep with Previous and Keep with Next. In the original it seems like you have to check the first (Keep with Previous) and to use the second (Keep with Next).
• Indetation of the radio buttons under "Keep Lines Together" so that it is obvious that they are both part…

Scroll while editing Paragraph, Character, or Object style
I usually have "Preview" checked while I'm editing a style to see how my changes affect the paragraph and everything surrounding it. The Style Options window is often blocking much of my view, even if I move it to the side, so I have to hit OK or Cancel, scroll so I can see everything, and then go back into editing the style. It would be useful if I could scroll while the Style Options window is open, much like I can while the Find/Change window is open.

Standardize action of Ctrl-F (should be Find/New Find, not toggle Find window)
In ID, Ctrl-F (Cmd-F) toggles the Find/Change window open and closed.
Only the first instance behaves in a globally correct manner, by opening the F/C window if it is closed, and placing the cursor in the "Find" field.
Every other application of the last several decades then uses Ctrl-F to start the next new search, by placing the cursor in the Find field.
ID instead toggles the F/C window shut, and any user conditioned (by, again, every other app in use) to start typing a new search term finds themselves typing into the document instead.
While the Find/Change feature has…

View menu > Fit Page Width to Screen
Add a command under the View menu—Fit Page Width to screen.
When I'm editing and formatting type, I like to make the type as large as possible, but still fit the page width to the screen, so I don't have to scroll.

The "Find and Replace Fonts" dialog box
The "Find and Replace Fonts" dialog box does not allow searching and replacing fonts included in a composite font.
This is inconvenient.
Please improve it.2 votes -
Redesign keyboard shortcut system to mimic that of After Effects
After effects uses a mappable graphic interface of a keyboard. Utilizing this interface would make reassigning keyboard shortcuts a much simpler and more intuitive endeavor. Along with allowing any command to be assignable to any keystroke/key combination it would be unbeatable. I don't understand why this isn't just the Adobe standard for all desktop applications. Can they not share? They put so much effort into syncing through the cloud but they don't put effort into matching their programs up to each other.

Fix/lock toolbar (avoid unintentional undocking)
Please add a feature to avoid undocking the toolbar. The Selection Tool (black arrow) is too near to the dotted line, indicating the draggable region of the toolbar. I've accidentally undocked the bar countless times. I mean hundred and hundred of times of cumbersomely dragging the toolbar back where it belongs. Especially when working fast on a big screen or multiscreen setup.
A suitable workaround is using keyboard shortcuts, but that's not a good solution for a UI flaw.

Import and export Find/Change queries button
I would LOVE to be able to import and export find/change queries from the find/change window, instead of having to go through cumbersome Windows folders to get the same result. A little button besides the save query/delete query would work really well and not be intrusive at all. This would be really helpful for sharing common actions that need to be standardized among various team members without each one having to recreate individual queries and saving them (or going through Windows hidden folders). Thanks!

More options for creating ads
I would love for there to be more flexibility for creating ads through InDesign. Like creating multiple sized art boards and simply be able to view art boards like how Photoshop, illustrator, and xd can.

cc libraries window head takes up too much space
There's visually 1.25 inches of functions before the window displays my library items. Can't some of this be combined so I can see more of my library in my precious desktop real estate?
row 1 - breadcrumb nav, invite to library
row 2 - search current library
row 3 - filter, sort options, list/grid view
I'd upload a screen cap, but upload files won't accept png, jpg, or gif...2 votes -
Harmonize size of curve handles and object handles as part of UI scaling
The UI scaling is a nice add in 2022. Thank you! But the handles for curves are still tiny relative to the object handles. Can we harmonize?

Name of the image near the link icon
Near the link icon, add the option "show/hide file name (and or extension)".
This will help when you have a catalog with 1200 products and in order to get the SKU and Color to fill the caption, you must click the image, then return to the text tool.
I know there's ways to auto input the name of the image. But sometimes the image contain other Information not important.
