Yes, please add! I have to make my clients pull out their table footnotes and provide them in a separate Word file. It's a lot more work for them and for me.

My booklets almost always have a complex layout with some (2-5) tables with visible or invisible borders and (2-5) text stories *on one page*.
I need there a consistent numbering of footnotes at the end of the page or spread from *all* tables and text stories on that page (separate for every page). I.e. a real footnote *for the whole page* not for a single text story.

A lot of people for sure have the same issue.

New endnotes feature in October 2017 update does not resolve the problem at all.

Ability to have a consistent numbering of footnotes that isn't tied to a threaded story (and ditto to the 'footnotes in Tables' comment too). Love Indesign, but this really is a huge weak spot.

Footnotes in tables with technical content are almost mandatory, especially when detailed specifications are listed in there.

It would be great if we could insert a footnote inside a Table cell. We sometimes have a name in a table that needs clarification on the bottom of the page as a footnote. Right now what we do is add a superscript number at the spot we wanted the footnote number to show. Then we insert the real footnote below the table and make the number invisible by changing the color to white or paper.

If we can make a many different footnote styles in the same document and manage them ... that will be great.
And if we can split footnotes from there text box to another text box.
Also if we can add a footnotes for a table ... that is great.
