MSO Hidden Default State
Currently, to revert back to an MSO not being visible after one or more of the states have been active, you have to create atop-level "blank" state that contains an empty frame of some sort, and show that state.
This seems like a workaround that should be built-in. Maybe a few new choices can be added to the "Show/Hide" options in a button's choices:
- Reset "X" MSO to invisible state
- Rest all MSO's to invisible state
...or something similar.
Thanks!!

publish online accessibility
Since the web has accessibility standards and guidelines, the documents created and hosted online using Publish Online should follow those guidelines, at least the most basic parts.
For example, a screen reader cannot read out any text on the pages because all the text is embedded into images. This makes the documents unusable for anybody with vision difficulties.
Please consider adding an option to create these files with the actual text saved as HTML paragraphs, headers, lists, anchors, etc. This would make it suitable for the web and much more appealing.

Publish Online for INDB (book) file
Please extend Publish Online to Books. I use recurring elements as chapters in presentations and would like to publish online instead of exporting and transmitting PDF files.

Publish Online iPhone view Disappear the URL Search Bar
When we publish a document online, the chances are it will be 16:9 or a double page spread. Many client may wish to view this on a device such as iPad or iPhone.
We have found that when we try to do this and turn the device (iPhone, Safari) to landscape mode, the URL search field bar can appear and NOT disappear again. This takes a lot of screen space and ruins the effect and view of the page.
Is there a solution to this?

Download interactive PDF from Publish Online
I have posted an INTERACTIVE document on Publish Online, but when it is downloaded, all the interactivity is stripped out. What is the point of posting an interactive document if you can't download it as an interactive document! I have had to create a workaround to include a button IN the document that leads to an interactive PDF that I had to post separately on Google Drive to allow people to download the working PDF.

Allow password-protected hosting, and hosting from a non-Adobe server
These two features would go a LONG way to making Publish Online a viable format for professional publishing. I'm sure many clients would pay an extra fee (nothing outrageous) for a self-hosted solution, if that would be necessary for Adobe to commit resources to make this happen.

Expand PublishOnline Analytics
I absolutely love PublishOnline. Is there a plan anytime soon to add to the analytics capabilities with Adobe PublishOnline anytime soon? The features on the dashboard for all published documents are great, but it would be even better to have those same analytics broken down by document - not just views and readers. I'd like to know how much time is spent, for instance, in a newsletter I've published vs. a catalog or flyer. And it would be great to know which documents tend to be read more on tablets vs desktop, rather than all of them as a whole.…
66 votesThank you all for your support on this feature request. Evidently, stronger analytics, would ensure better decision making.
I’ll be reaching out to some of you to gather more inputs on this feature request.
Your feedback will go a long way to help us define the feature better.Regards,
Abhinav Kaushik (AK)

Publish Online: Toggle Thumbnails
- Publish Online: I would like to have the option to show Toggle Thumbnails automatically - to show Toggle Thumbnails in the first initial view.
- This would be valuable to those who are not familiar with these Published docs. They do not search for the Toggle Thumbnails option and will never know that they can jump around within the doc.

Sharable Publish Online Dashboard
I would like multiple users to be able to update on a single dashboard. We like the idea of being able to update an existing link instead of replacing it which can be a lot more work. Currently, if we link a published file to our website and only one person can update it that's a problem, for obvious reasons. The single file might be linked in multiple places and turn into a tedious workload.
I'm wishing for an upgrade for InDesign to do this and make this tool even more powerful, it will be awesome!!

Enable surveys to be embedded in Publish Online documents.
It would be great, since many people use PublishOnline to generate newsletters and other similar types of documents that are sent to a large audience, to be able to input simple responsive forms (essentially surveys) of 1-5 questions that send answers back to a programmed space either within PublishOnline's dashboard or to a designated space. Or, allow us to embed suveymonkey javascript survey code somewhere so we can track it that way. I was recently asked if I could add a one question pulse survey to my newsletter I create with PublishOnline and can't find an easy solution without just…

Add Anti-Alias Intent to text for graphic export
As web publishing has been an important part of InDesign since 5.5, it would be extremely helpful if anti-alias intent could be determined, either at a paragraph level or on output. Both Photoshop and Illustrator have this feature, and without it, export jpeg and png for web use is not up to publishing quality.
Relatedly, when an image is placed in a document at a scale other than 100%, it would be helpful if the downsampling/upsampling intent could similarly be chosen by the user.
Currently, the only way to produce publishable web materials from InDesign is to export a lossless…

GDPR regulations demand that data collections turned of on the Publish Online feature for my client upload to their website.
Even though Adobe claims to be up-to-date with GDPR regulations, I need to know how to turn all data collections off in InDesigns "Publish Online" feature, for my client to actually use the asset that was created for them. With the new GDPR regulations, they can not publish anything online that collects any kind of data.
Please explain how I do this?

"Go back to a specific page"
"Go back to a specific page" - meaning if I have text links in the file and move from page 10 to page 110, give me an easy way to return to where I came from. In this case, page 10. Like a back button navigating through webpages. This is for PUBLISH ONLINE

InDesign Publish Online Available Offline
Would it be possible to create a PublishOnline PDF that supported all the features and functionality of a PublishOnline document but without browser restrictions.
Currently we love the PublishOnline and use it for professional client work but it is limited due to cross browser compatibility issues and limitations.

Transparency is too fragile in Publish Online
I created some text overlays (saying "PROOF") as objects with no background fill, then set the objects to 30% transparency.
On publishing online, InDesign fills them with white, and some of the time also fails to produce the text.
