Use the cloud for what you intended it to deliver faster updates - otherwise get rid of it. Adobe what are you doing?
Give us the update like normal programs should get them :| - you even have your own client for that.
Implement a beta / stable channel or idk.. but this is just horrible. It is the same response in every KBDOC fix - in my Company i don't even have the GREP fix yet because they are waiting for a propper update from Adobes side.
- PLEASE DO SOMETHING! - If you care and want people to stay...
An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedAmaarora - please finally start using the cloud for what it was intended - faster delivery of updates and not this nonsense - its kinda like the only feature the cloud is good for and you're not using it for updates. Same problem with the GREP fix :|
Thanks for the fix tho

The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2024(v19.5.0.084). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
Kindly update the data source file with the POSIX style path in Macintosh to work with data merge functionality smoothly. Please refer to the helpx https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/using/data-merge.html to know more about the difference between HFS and Posix style paths.
You can get the actual POSIX path of a file by right-click it in the Finder while holding Option (or right-click, then press Option) > Copy as pathname menu. This can help you explore the correct POSIX paths to ensure you're using them correctly.
Note: Relative path as such /<foldername>/<filename> is no longer supported after the fix, as it considers the starting “/” as an absolute path. Instead, the recommendation is to omit the starting “/” and use <foldername>/<filename> instead or any of the other existing ways to access the…
An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedIF i remember correctly then GREP will not work with data merge (i could be wrong... has been a while since i hat a similar problem) - could it be related to this?

Edit:
Hello All,
We acknowledge those comments where some of us have mentioned that the issue is still not fixed; we are already working on it.
Please note that, in the earlier release we had fixed few cases which were leading to the issue.
There are still few scenarios which are yet to be investigated and fixed.
Unfortunately, this particular thread has become too generic.
We request you to provide your comments in below provided new thread. Please do mention your observation while submitting the comment. It will help us in our ongoing investigation.

An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedE-Mail is sent. – Text from my mail:
As far as i can tell i have never seen this issue in previous versions - I can not downgrade to a previous version to confirm this - our IT-Department handles all the updates etc.
We are working a lot with „Icon-Fonts“ that get an extra contour for readability on certain backgrounds - and this behavior got reported in a new Project we are planing with CC 2019.Basically you can take almost any font and play around with lowering PT size / giving it a larger contour.
(Goal in our publication was that we had icons (round circles) with the numbers cut out - on white background this was no problem at all but when we hat to set those on images we solved this by adding a contour that fills the inside with white. In some cases it works but a lot of times it looks like shown in the pdf.)Bastian S. shared this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedContours on Text are freaking out in CC 2019 (14.0.2)

An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedCould be because you have selected Table-Cells and not the actual text content.
Try selecting some text that should work.Otherwise you have to select the Frame and use story
Also you can limit your search to a set paragraph style.. etc. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedCheck your object formats:
A: With all documents closed (This will fix newly created documents but not your existing docs)
B: In the document that has the problems (see above... already created documents will have the wrong styles as well)
C: Click the rectangle-tool without creating one - do you have a stroke set? if so the new frame will be created like this - likely caused by "A/B":)

An error occurred while saving the comment Bastian S. commentedThat happens because this is a document preference and an application preference.
You have to make this setting with all documents closed (newly created documents will have it enabled then) but in your old documents it will still be turned off.So... You have to check it every time you open a document and yes it is a horrible design choice of the preferences in general.
PDF on what is a document setting can be downloaded here with a free membership (this is no ad for ind. secrets.. feel free to google another source)
