An error occurred while saving the comment Zaid Al Hilali commentedIn another scenario where I'm pasting a shape inline after an Arabic word with Diacritics, the same behaviour occurs. Check this video, please…https://youtu.be/F2fE2QqMNn8
I tried inserting a an Anchored object right after the same word, and had this same issue where the diacritics switch places
An error occurred while saving the comment Zaid Al Hilali commentedTested this issue with Eduard on Adobe forums and have posted a short video to explain the strange behavior on this post… https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2590473

• Create an InDesign document with Arabic content. Apply any Arabic font.
• When exporting to EPUB (Fixed Layout) we should see the Arabic text appear in the epub viewer in similar manner as it shows in InDesign document.
• The exporting epub document is viewed in Apple's Book and Adobes Digital Editions 4.5 with similar problems where all Arabic text is either invisible or messed up and shifted from its location.
• Attached an InDesign document, and epub file exported from InDesign.

An error occurred while saving the comment Zaid Al Hilali commentedAbhinav, thanks for marking this issue as "Under Review". We need to include same future fix to Adobe Illustrator ME too.
What is your recommendation in this case to have a fix for both InDesign and Illustrator, should I post same bug report for Illustrator?

An error occurred while saving the comment Zaid Al Hilali commentedDear Mahmoud,
Can you tell us why would you need to change Character directions to RTL? Leaving it to "Default" yield better result when you type Arabic/Farsi/Dari/Urdu/Kurdish. As a matter of fact leaving Character Directions to "Default" will be appropriate even if you're mixing Latin language with above RTL languages. If you really need to change Character Directions to "Right-To-Left" you can apply it to a selection not to the whole sentence or paragraph.
InDesign ME v. 19.0.1 on Mac.
As the original poster mentioned, the visual Cursor Control is not working as it should.
Try the following… Preferences > Right-to-Left, from the Cursor Movement drop-list, choose "Visual". Click OK.
In the document, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move to the right or left. Instead of moving right or left while clicking on the right arrow or left arrow, the cursor will jump to the beginning of the next line or the previous line.
