An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedHow do you have such? I've never seen Indesign or any other Adobe tool giving me tips or nagging me.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedYou could use conditional text to switch different names on and off instead of replacing them.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedWell, that's the advancement of technology. On a 64 bit system, Indesign uses approx. 580 MB of RAM just after the start, with no document open.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedWho would want to use that? That's why numbers were created. To not have to write long words all the time.
Reading numbers from 20 written in letters is practically a twist for your brain. Supposing your documents won't have many pages, you could place them manually. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedI have already posted a similar request long ago. "PDF export profiles" which are superior to those which define the PDF itself. Superior in letting us define a constructed file name, like when using the batch processor in Photoshop for file names, so we could export multiple differently named PDFs with web or print resolution from within one INDD file with just a few clicks.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedI use to do that with F11 and F12 keys (coming from old Pagemaker) which are mapped to PREVIOUS SHEET and NEXT SHEET.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedThe request for the search field was not from me, but is actually a good idea. If there are many headlines in a document it's often hard to scroll the list in this tiny window, even you can narrow down the list to a specific style.

To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.
If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, start a new thread by adding all the relevant details. We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

InDesign TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedThis is not a support forum! Why do so many people post questions here if the title clearly says "Feedback" and "Bugs"?

InDesign TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedPlacing an Indesign document inside another is actually a no-go. Weird enough, that it's even possible.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedOnly a suspicion: this is an all-time display bug of Acrobat (Reader) which depends on the zoom level. I also have that in Indesign. The images (or text, lines etc.) are correctly placed, but when flipping through pages, mostly in full page view, they seem to shift.

An error occurred while saving the comment Maik commentedThis is a bug report page, not the Adobe support forum. Please move there.
Anyway: if the full path to the linked files is the same on the Mac and on the PC, then there must be no broken links. Check the full path and network drive letter and compare.

This is a feature request forum, not one for posting bugs.
About your problem: the TIFF may either not be compatible or you must place it with import options or you have to activate transparency for the placed object.
