I can confirm the issue.
Also with an export to PDF/X-4 without using the option "Create Tagged PDF".
See the screenshot attached where I re-colored the original text to Magenta and placed the exported PDF/X-4 on top of the editable text. Zoom is at 1,000 %.Also watch this discussion at hilfdirselbst.ch where we discuss the issue in German:

The fix for this issue is available in the latest InDesign release 16.2.1
Please update to this latest version to get the fix.—

Hi Marc and others,
the issue is fixed with e.g. InDesign 2021 version 16.2.0.27 that I tested today.
Rolling out of 16.2.0.30 already began. By the end of this week everybody should see the update.Regards,

Thanks for reporting the issue of backlinking not working for Endnotes with WR Composers.
We’re going to review this shortly.—

Hi Ravi,
my bug report is NOT about the World Ready Paragraph Composer. You'll see that with my linked sample documents. That the World Ready Paragraph Composer can be an extra issue is out of question.Best,
Uwe Laubender

Now tested this also with:
InDesign 2020 version 15.1.3.302
InDesign 2019 version 14.0.3.433
InDesign 2018 version 13.1.1.110Exact same behavior.

Hi Loic,
the workaround should be:
Get the id of that textContainer.
And then do:document.pageItem.itemByID( IDofTextContainer ).exportFile()

Also: You could include script code as the value of document.label and execute that code.

Hi André,
downloaded your sample book file and tested a bit.
At one occassion I could synch the fill color; but unfortunatelly I cannot repeat that.
Synching stroke width and stroke color did not work.Perhaps the main reason is that the objects to synch with are part of a nested structure.
In your case they are part of a group.Regards,
Uwe Laubender

Also see this InDesign forum thread about the issue that synchying object styles will always clear style overrides:
synchronizing book clears some style overrides

Thank you, Valeriy for your workaround that is suggesting using a script.
Just tried Peter Kahrel's Batch-Convert script with a book file of 56 InDesign documents.
And yes, no slow down of the mouse.Peter's script can be found at:
https://creativepro.com/files/kahrel/indesign/batch_convert.htmlAs source I did InDesign Book. Option "Include Subfolders" was not enabled.

Book panel is a special type of panel that is always associated with the .INDB file – unlike other panels where there is no actual association with a file on disk. The panel also shows the name of the Book file. If that INDB file is deleted, then the panel does not have any meaning.
Only when the Book file is opened is the Book panel available. So it can’t be part of a workspace & thus its size and location also can’t be fixed as there could be multiple Book files that can be opened simultaneously.—
