Thanks for making this request. In order to understand the use-case more better I have a few questions:
1. Whats the role of the different people working collaboratively on the same file. Are they always only designers or are other personas also involved.
2. What is the use-case here, some parts of this request suggest an Editorial collaboration whereas others suggest collaboration amongst different designers. I am trying to separate these 2 requests out.
3. What are the different kind of files (brochures, books, magazines etc) for which this is required.
4. Does it need to be a web based service, or having the user be able to collaborate on one shared file using InDesign or InCopy on the Desktop will work? What is the advantage you feel over a web-service over the desktop app?
5. How do you workaround this need today? What are the most important problems with…Luis E. supported this idea ·

GPU Acceleration on Windows is available with the latest InDesign 2025(v20.4.0.052). Please update to the latest InDesign via the CCD app to get this feature.
The minimum system requirements for using GPU Acceleration on
- Windows are: Monitor with a display resolution greater than 2K
- GPU card with at least 1GB vRAM.
Note on GPU Acceleration: High-resolution monitors are becoming the standard. With the high monitor resolutions, it is getting difficult for the CPU to handle the rendering. This is where the GPU comes into play. Rendering on high-density displays is best handled by the GPU. GPU acceleration makes the rendering of the documents faster while zooming, scrolling, and panning. The enhanced performance from using the GPU in InDesign powers features like Animated Zoom, which make zoom actions smooth and animated.
Based on our internal tests, we found that GPU acceleration provides better performance when the monitor's display resolution is…

Ironic commentary: We are waiting since 2017 cause they have not enough funds to set 1-2 programmers day by day for 1 month to implement this functionality.
Still waiting... meanwhile.... no answers... no advance.... struggling on a tiny/huge interface.
Will they wake up when Affinity make a big step forward? I think not...
A must...
