To identify the cause of this issue, we started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the following: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2025(v20.0.0.095) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

InDesign 18.1I have the same problem, with different keys -- but they're all on my extended keyboard. I have assigned a number of custom key commands using keys on the 10-key portion which stopped working on the last update. I have tried swapping out keyboards, tossing and rebuilding preferences, deleting and reinstalling ID, launching ID in a different user account -- problem persists.
This is _not_ a problem in the latest version of Illustrator.

An error occurred while saving the comment C commentedI posted on Aug 7 that flushing caches fixed the issue, but it didn't last. ID locks up over and over every day opening the same suite of files for the same missing fonts. Switching font versions between projects is a part of my workflow. Missing fonts should not not cause minutes' worth lockup. I've deleted and reinstalled the fonts, InDesign, Creative Cloud. Nothing seems to fix it. I have to go offline to open files!

OS 12.5.1An error occurred while saving the comment C commentedFor anyone still having this issue, I finally was able to fix it for my install. I'm not sure whether all of these steps are necessary, but I turned off Adobe font syncing in ID. In the CC app, I turned off all Adobe fonts. In the CC app File Syncing settings, I turned of the Adobe Fonts service. Repaired the CC app install. Then reversed the order. So far since then files open like lightning. Must have cleared out some malwritten code somewhere.
An error occurred while saving the comment C commentedI have this issue as well, but it happens regardless of whether there are missing fonts or not. It seems to be worst on first open of a file in a given day/duration of time. Could it be connected to whether there are Postscript fonts in the file still?

This just started happening in ID 2023 on Ventura. Did not happen when I last exported a book in the exact same fashion 4 weeks ago.
