The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2022(v17.0.0.96). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

Adobe InDesign TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Gav Bainbridge commentedSame problem, also affecting macOS 10.14.6 and InDesign 16.1. We use Book files so that multiple users can see which files are open in the Book. This doesn't work anymore, InDesign Book doesn't recognise the files as open even with the lock files there. Has been working fine all the way back to CS3, come on Adobe, stop breaking stuff.

This is not the feature's fault, this can be either a font with an incorrect Ascent parameter or an end-of-line character with a larger font size than the text. One workaround I use is to change the Text Frame Options > Baseline Options > First Baseline to Cap Height.
