  1. Missing strikethrough, replace text, and highlight options on share for review web link

    We're using the public (with password) share for review option for our annual report because we didn't want one-time reviewers to have to make an account.

    I thought that's why I was only seeing the draw and thumbtack options on the online review. But after updating InDesign the options appeared today. And then they disappeared again and I can't get them to come back.

    I hope this feature can be fixed. It was so much easier to make the updates from the comments then emailed edits and scans of people markups that they PDF'd.

  2. Shortcut for High Quality Display does something else

    Up until Indesign CC 2020, when pressing "ctrl option command h" my document would switch to high res view. Since 16.0 it hides all other Programs of macOS (10.15.7) instead. When using the mouse it still works. Why is that, and how can I get the functionality back?

  3. Impossible to copy text from InDesign 2021 to other applications

    It is impossible to copy any text from InDesign 2021 to other applications as Notepad or Excel.
    When copying any text in InDesign, the Windows clipboard becomes empty even if there was anything.
    However, it is possible to paste into InDesign any text from InDesign and any other text from outside of InDesign.
    Resetting settings using Ctrl-Shift-Del at InDesign start and changing settings “Copy/paste in PDF format” didn’t help.

  4. Selection tool issue in the latest version of InDesign.

    The selection tool now only works to change the size of boxes (text, images), it no longer lets you move the boxes around the page. To move boxes you know have to switch tools to the Free Transform Tool which makes everything more time consuming.

  5. [BUG] [IND] [CC2021] Wrong language installed

    With this message, I would like to report a bug.

    The Creative Cloud desktop app installs the wrong language for Indesign. Default is set to English, but it installs Dutch.

    Removing the older Indesign CC2020 and installing it again, it installs my default language (UK). For CC2021 it only installs Dutch. I'm using Os X 10.14.6.

  7. Arrange object after unhide

    Using Adobe InDesign 15.0.1 x64 (CC 2020), after I unhid several linked image objects, I was unable to arrange those elements forward or backward to make it visible on top of other elements. The objects were not locked as I checked several times and even copying / pasting them would not allow me to rearrange them. Restarting solved the problem after I spent 20 minutes fighting with it.

  10. I've had to renter my pasword and code from text 6x in the last 2 1/2 hours. How is anybody supposed to get any work done when updating apps

    Why is updating apps such a pain in the butt!!!!
    Had to log into a different ID to get past supposed firewall issues and then had to keep using password and code sent to text on my phone every time I opened an app.
    VERY UNPRODUCTIVE AFTERNOON. THANK YOU CREATIVE CLOUD!!!!!

  11. indesign for mac pauses

    InDesign CC 15.1.2 with a VPN connection to a server continually gives me the spinning beach ball whenever I do the simplest thing, even when the document itself is on the desktop (but has to be connected to images on the server). It's on a Macbook Pro 15,1, running Catalina with 32GB ram, 2.6Ghz 6-Core Intel Core i7. It's been happening since the last 2 updates.

  13. Lost information in Links and Color/swatches Indesign 2020

    The information in the windows for Links and Color/swatches (Think it is the name in English) have disappeared. I have tried to restart program, restart computer and various other adjustment, but no result. The information does not show. I have both color and links in my work.

  17. Textskalierung mit shortcut und mouse funktioniert nicht mehr

    • InDesign 14.0.3.

    • Textrahmen mit Text aktivieren, gedrückten Taste (cmd und alt soweit ich mich noch erinnere), mit Maus Textrahmen Ecke anfassen und ziehen um zu skalieren
      -> Das ging früher, ist aber seit einigen Versionen nicht mehr verfügbar oder verändert. Ich finde es nicht mehr und auch keinen Hinweis darauf, wo es jetzt ist

  19. Incopy with Conditional text not holding

    I design electrical manuals in InDesign, some text is shared between books using InCopy. Some of the text is product specific so I use Conditions to turn that text off and on. But when I create the Condition in one book and then open the book with shared InCopy links, that text and everything after it is now that same Condition.
    I tried everything to fix this. The only workaround I found to work is making the Paragraph Return before the text I want Conditioned and leaving the Paragraph return after my text Unconditional will work.
