Indesign performance issue : Object movement
Indesign is always giving me rainbow wheel even if I edit small slides.

Found another possible workaround. Mac OS 10.13.4, InDesign 14.02. Turn off all networking once you have InDesign up and running. Go into System Preferences - Network. Turn off Wi-Fi, if you have on. And turn off Ethernet, if you have on. And any other connections to the internet. You will lose the "cloud" features, but at least you will be able to work.

iMac 27-inch 2017
running High Sierra 10.13.6Work for 10-15 seconds, then 10-15 seconds of rainbow wheel, sometimes longer, much longer. It is killing my productivity.
My InDesign file I'm currently working on has 32 pages, with many linked photoshop images and Illustrator files. Multiple fonts due to various ads. Converted some to outlines.
I've turned off Preflight, but it didn't help.

I'm getting this too. I initially thought it might be a font because sometimes it seems to be better when I turn Suitcase Extension off but it returns before too long. What sometimes seems to help is Turning Display Performance to Standard View but who can work like that?? Atm, I'm modifying Object Styles of images & it's happening again (big time), despite above tests. It's a file that has been used/re-used & modified for many years. I've saved as idml as well but it seems it might be a more general problem.

My Indesign CC 2018 is constantly freezing. I've tried fast display, on and offline. Small and large documents. I'm fully updated. Please help!

Yep, same here. Two year old, six core Mac Pro with twin Firepro D500s, but editing a simple one page flyer (with no graphics placed at all, just text boxes!) every object movement, scroll, or item creation gives me a second or two lag with the spinning ball. Never had this issue until the latest update.
Currently updating again today (April 4) and I hope to @#$# it fixes it because it's maddening and a massive workflow killer having to stop every few seconds to wait for Indesign to keep up.
