  1. Share for Review

    After sending out a "Share for Review" in InDesign, I went back to the file after people made comments and when I go to the review, the only option is to create a new review. But if i go to my email notification and click on the link, I can see the review that way. I did not "save as" to the file.

    Open the Review panel (Window>Comments>Review) to see the comments made by the people with whom you had shared the document for review.

  2. Comment pins move in spread with content

    At the moment, pins on content in a story do not move with that text if the text ends up being pushed onto another page. This means we end up with seemingly random pins floating on the page.

    Please allow pins to remain bound to their original location as text moves and flows into other pages.

  3. It takes forever to update the link for review.

    When I go the Share for Review menu and try to update the link, it starts to "think" and nothing else happens. It lasts for more than 10 minutes and I just give up. Indesign version 16.1

  5. Share for Review breaks when INDD files are duplicated for versioning

    Everyone I know who uses InDesign duplicates files regularly to create various versions of documents. Share for Review seems to have a major problem with this. When I create multiple versions of a document by duplicating an original, InDesign cannot seem to differentiate between the various versions, even if they have different names and are completely separate files. The only solution seems to be if you have only one document open at a time and break the link to start over.   7. 'Share for review' showing name of a previously shared document, hasn't recognised which document to share

    InDesign 16.0
    Mac OS 10.15.7
    Chrome Version 86.0.4240.183

    Share for review should respond to whichever tab is in focus

    Steps to recreate.

    1. Have 2 InDesign documents you want to share for review
    2. Open one of the files
    3. Go to share and review, see the filename populated in the panel's field
    4. Create the share
    5. Open the other InDesign document
    6. Go to share and review

    Expected: Document that is in focus in the open tab is the file that is being shared

    Actual: Previous file's name is still populated. Changing it and sharing creates an error.

    And now this has happened, restarting…

  9. When I share to review, weird things happen

    I have InDesign 15.1.1 and I've been using the new Share to Review feature often. I've noticed that my text and tables would completely disappear on random pages and the Table of Contents became messed up as well. To make the text reappear, I had to adjust the size of the frame by a pixel or two then it would return. It didn't matter if I made the frame bigger or smaller.

    i was trying to update a filed shared for review but it keep saying "There was an error updating the artifact" i've tried to update the indesign but as same.

  11. share for review completely broken in ID and online

    Share for review is completely useless and does not work in the latest release on osX Tahoe. I can see the comments from clients listed in the panel, however they are not marked in the document and when clicked on them it does not show you where. So i have to open the comments in a browser (and its buggy even there!!!) and locate the reviews manuall.y.   12. Share for Review fails to update - InDesign 2026

    InDesign 2026 v21.0 (the latest update)

    Creating a new Share for Review link works without issue. However, updating an existing review link consistently triggers the error: “There was an error updating the artifact.” When this happens, the review document does not update. The only way to refresh the content is by generating a new review link, which unfortunately removes all previously added comments.

  13. Review links broke after InDesign updated to version 21

    After sending an InDesign document out for review and others made comments, InDesign updated to version 21. Now the links are broke and the comments in the review are inaccessible.

  14. Share for Review PDF link: asset not found

    When uploading the share for review file, the upload hung up for a long time. It finally went through, but once I followed the link I get an Error 404: Asset not found in safari.

    Have refreshed the link multiple times with no change.

  15. Review link fails to update if other documents are open in InDesign

    When multiple documents are open in InDesign, attempting to update the review link triggers an error message: 'An error has occurred.' The review link will only update if no other documents are open.

  16. Share for Review: actual page number is only halfway visible

    The field to show the actual page number is too small. It only shows one character of the number.

    Tested on a Mac with Chrome, Safari, Firefox.

    Share for Review creates a link but does not update content.

    Reproducing:
    - File created in InDesign 2024, Share for Review link created. Updating the content often showed a red "There was an error updating the artifact" error but would still update content in the link
    - File opened in InDesign 2025, where it was converted to a 2025 file. Comments from previous version carried over in "Review" panel

  18. Issue Not Resolved: Cannot Implement and/or Copy Any Review Comments

    This was previously mentioned with multiple votes and then marked as resolved by admin. However, multiple comments show that this bug is CRITICAL and NOT FIXED with the latest update.

    Share for Review is essentially useless at the moment since there's no way to either A) download the PDF with edits, B) implement a change from the comment, or C) copy and paste the comment from the review panel.

    Please fix, these features all work when sharing an exported PDF for review and then importing comments. Absolutely zero excuse that this expensive of a software cannot solve this and then…

  19. Objects transformed with the Shear-Tool aren't displayed correctly in Review and with Acrobat Extension for Chrome

    In my corporate design, I use rectangles with a shear angle of 45°. However, these rectangles are displayed incorrectly in the Review and in the Chrome browser with the Acrobat extension. Such rectangles are then not displayed at an angle, but as a larger rectangle. In the two uploaded images you can see the comparison of how it is designed in Indesign and how it then looks in the Review.
    Correcting this display error is very important to me. Of course, I could also draw the slanted rectangle with the path tool. But this is very impractical because I can't…

  20. Link Name as Page Title in Share for Review

    I have no idea why it isn’t set up this way, as the title of "Link Name" certainly makes it sound like that would be the page title, but instead I find that every single document I share for review has the page title of "Files | Adobe Creative Cloud" which is supper annoying when I have to share a few different proofs in a messaging app. Messaging apps (like Skype) convert the link to a card that features the page title in bold, so I end up with a series of links that all look the exact same, with…
