[ID-4281595] Share for Review Comment Emails Render Raw HTML Instead of Formatted Text
Share for Review email notifications contain raw HTML code in the message body. Comment text is wrapped in visible <pre style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; white-space:pre-line;"> tags that render as code rather than formatted text, making the emails difficult to read. The HTML should be rendered, not displayed as raw markup.

Indesign 2024: 2024 version files open as Read Only - but only sometimes.
When opening files, created in earlier versions but already opened and saved as newer version, often, but not always, open as READ ONLY. Of course I'm not checking every time I open a file to see if it's read only because I've already updated the file to version 2024 and only realize when I try to save. PLEASE FIX THIS

Share for Review is very buggy
In InDesign lately when I Share for Review the following things happen often:
1. InDesign thinks that the document I've shared (and for which I've received feedback) is NOT shared. I know it is.
2. I can no longer highlight a comment and copy it to paste it into the actual document.
3. When I click on a comment it will take me to a page/spread but there's no pin/highlighted text/etc. to inform me where on the spread the change needs to be implemented.
4. I get a message that InDesign "cannot load comments" no matter how many times or…3 votes -

Share for review missing annotations
Using 17.1 and just upgraded to 17.3. Have loved share for review, but recently I'm unable to see location of annotations from inside ID app or multiple web browsers: Editor leaves a note, I can see the note, but there's nothing to indicate where the note belongs on the page--not all of A's comments but many of them. Other editors also can't see the annotations either.

Share for Review
After sending out a "Share for Review" in InDesign, I went back to the file after people made comments and when I go to the review, the only option is to create a new review. But if i go to my email notification and click on the link, I can see the review that way. I did not "save as" to the file.
3 votesOpen the Review panel (Window>Comments>Review) to see the comments made by the people with whom you had shared the document for review.
Please let us know if this solves the issue for you.

Comment pins move in spread with content
At the moment, pins on content in a story do not move with that text if the text ends up being pushed onto another page. This means we end up with seemingly random pins floating on the page.
Please allow pins to remain bound to their original location as text moves and flows into other pages.

It takes forever to update the link for review.
When I go the Share for Review menu and try to update the link, it starts to "think" and nothing else happens. It lasts for more than 10 minutes and I just give up. Indesign version 16.1

Share for Review breaks when INDD files are duplicated for versioning
Everyone I know who uses InDesign duplicates files regularly to create various versions of documents. Share for Review seems to have a major problem with this. When I create multiple versions of a document by duplicating an original, InDesign cannot seem to differentiate between the various versions, even if they have different names and are completely separate files. The only solution seems to be if you have only one document open at a time and break the link to start over. It's maddening, as I have 9 versions of important documents that I need to share for review, and when…

unmapped review comments
Hi,
in my link there are many comments but a lot of them are unmapped. Is there a way to recover them?

'Share for review' showing name of a previously shared document, hasn't recognised which document to share
InDesign 16.0
Mac OS 10.15.7
Chrome Version 86.0.4240.183Share for review should respond to whichever tab is in focus
Steps to recreate.
- Have 2 InDesign documents you want to share for review
- Open one of the files
- Go to share and review, see the filename populated in the panel's field
- Create the share
- Open the other InDesign document
- Go to share and review
Expected: Document that is in focus in the open tab is the file that is being shared
Actual: Previous file's name is still populated. Changing it and sharing creates an error.
And now this has happened, restarting…

When I share to review, weird things happen
I have InDesign 15.1.1 and I've been using the new Share to Review feature often. I've noticed that my text and tables would completely disappear on random pages and the Table of Contents became messed up as well. To make the text reappear, I had to adjust the size of the frame by a pixel or two then it would return. It didn't matter if I made the frame bigger or smaller.

InDesign 21.3 (2026) Share for Review Comments Unmapped on Desktop
This is an ongoing, years-long problem. When people comment via an Indesign Share for review link, the list of comments appears on the desktop app as unmapped/no pins. However, if you view the link online, you can see the same comments with pins where the commenters dropped them. It's a much more cumbersome workflow having to go to a different window to see all of the feedback. I don't know why this continues to be a problem.

share for review completely broken in ID and online
Share for review is completely useless and does not work in the latest release on osX Tahoe. I can see the comments from clients listed in the panel, however they are not marked in the document and when clicked on them it does not show you where. So i have to open the comments in a browser (and its buggy even there!!!) and locate the reviews manuall.y. Also, when i update documents (also in AI), i always get a red popup saying that the file update has failed (although it does not fail and the changes are updated). Anyway, a…

Share for Review PDF link: asset not found
When uploading the share for review file, the upload hung up for a long time. It finally went through, but once I followed the link I get an Error 404: Asset not found in safari.
Have refreshed the link multiple times with no change.

Review link fails to update if other documents are open in InDesign
When multiple documents are open in InDesign, attempting to update the review link triggers an error message: 'An error has occurred.' The review link will only update if no other documents are open.

Share for Review: actual page number is only halfway visible
The field to show the actual page number is too small. It only shows one character of the number.
Tested on a Mac with Chrome, Safari, Firefox.
