   In Design is so super slow for me.
   I´ve updated everything, and still its superslow.

   I work on a lot of large documents and some of them I can't even open up. It just crashes or takes for ever to get something done!! Frustrating!!

2. Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl+Shft+G (Ungroup) acts strange

   In Windows 10, Indesign 14.0:

   Ungrouping with keyboard shortcut only works when I:

   1. hold Ctrl+LeftShift,

   2. then touch RightShift (while holding Ctrl+LeftShift) (????)

   3. press G (while still holding Ctrl+LeftShift)

3. properties panel is lagging

   I like the new properties panel, but it seems to be a little bit laggy.
   If the properties panel ist active, and I’m clicking on a text frame or image eg. it is lagging a little bit. If the panel is close, there is no issue.

   File Info (description) on placed photographs in indesign CC 14 is unable to be copied to clipboard when selected. This means we are unable to caption images using metadata in our newsroom workflow. Is anyone else having this issue.

8. US Dictionary continues to use UK spellings

   My Indesign Dictionary is set to English: USA, but it still regularly corrects to UK spellings i.e. enrol vs. enroll. I am running Indesign 13.1. Can this be fixed?

   The Dictionary section in Preferences dialog shows the Dictionary that is in use for a particular Language. The path (which looks like /Linguistics/UserDictionaries/Adobe Custom Dictionary/…) shown in the dialog is the location of the dictionary that is being used. You can add your own custom User Dictionary by clicking on the + button.
   The Language used for Spell check is NOT the one chosen in the Preferences dialog.

   To specify the default Language used for Spell check for all documents, you should close all documents and select the Type Tool. The Control panel (when Character Formatting Controls – ‘A’ button is selected at the left) shows the Default Language set for all documents. This is the language used for Spell Check. You can also open the Paragraph Styles panel, double-click on the [Basic Paragraph] style and under Advanced Character Formats section, change the Language.

9. Fullscreen Application Frame Under Menu Bar

   When opening the program, occasionally the top bar of the interface is under the menu bar. Being as that also contains the portion of the interface used for moving the whole window, I must change my System Settings to hide the menu bar to move it back down. This also happens in a couple other CC programs as well.

10. Top Selection Bar Glitch

    1. InDesign 208
    2. For example, let's say I have a file open and I want to create a new file without using the shortcut CTRL+N. When I bring my cursor to the top bar containing File, Edit, Layout, Type, Object, etc... it selects the correct category which results in a dropdown menu, but as soon as I move my cursor a little, the system throws the cursor over like 2 tabs at a time. So for example, I click File, the menu drops down, I move the cursor to select the type of New file I want and then suddenly I have a different dropdown menu open, two tabs over. This is not a consistent issue but it happens often enough to be frustrating and bring me to write out this report. While writing this message, the program displayed the glitch (even if I resize the screen or close and reopen the program). Now randomly it works when 5 minutes ago it wasn't working properly.
    3. I would expect the dropdown menu I selected to remain when I click it and move the cursor through that menu.
    4. Sometimes it works as it should, other times it does what I described above.
    5. I would upload some way to view this issue if I knew how.

12. InDesign CC 2018 UK dictionary is wrong

    The UK dictionary in InDesign CC 2018 is wrong. It is recognizing both American and British spellings of certain words as correct. The biggest issues I've found so far are "iz" versus "is" spellings (e.g. capitalize/capitalise) and words that need an extra "e" (e.g. ageing). I have all text boxes in my document set to UK English, and spellcheck is finding certain misspellings (e.g. "or" versus "our"), but not others.

    This is a major problem for those of us who regularly have to "translate" text from American English to UK English. Is there a way to import a better UK dictionary?

13. page not displayed

    I am editing a long document (over 300 pages). Several non-consecutive spreads are displaying blank. When I change screen mode from normal to preview, it displays the content correctly. The same happens if I change Display Performance prom Typical to either Fast display or High Quality Display.
    Also selecting all the text (ctrl+A) takes more than 5 seconds. The same operation in MS Word is instant.

14. Cursor vanishes when over frames

    My cursor is vanishing in InDesign when I move it over a frame (or object inside a frame). It is almost like it is underneath or behind the frame/object.

    App is OK after restart. Once working on the document for 10 min the navigation around the document and any command request, ie duplicate a image slows down and becomes sluggish until app is restarted once more.
    Im working on a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), 4 GHz Intel Core i7, 24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4 GB.

17. CC library window disappears from workspace

    Every time I start indesign the CC libraries window disappears from my workspace. I add it again and overwrite my workspace, but it disappears again as soon as I quit. Using CC 2018 13.0 on Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6

18. Drop Cap kerning and tweaking

    Can the team look at users being able to kern and make further edits to Drop Caps, to fit better with body text rather than having to manually paste in an anchored object to get it to look the way we want?

    Our entire department recently did the newest update to Adobe InDesign (21.0)
    Steps to reproduce the issues: Close document and open another one

    Every single time I open a new file (which is many times per day) the pallets do not pop open. The workspace still looks like it should and when I click on a pallet to use it, it highlights like it would if it was popped open for use but nothing happens.

    Expected result: Pallets pop open so I can make changes on my file
    Actual result: Pallets highlight like they will open but actually stay closed and do nothing

    The only way I have found to make this work is to reset the workspace (whether it's one you have saved as your own or just using a default). EVERY. SINGLE. TIMEEE PLEASE FIX THIS

20. Adobe InDesign 2026 doesn't play well with 2025

    It's absolutely ridiculous to me that the 2025 version and 2026 version are incompatible with each other. I can't open old files easily with the new software. I can't drag and drop items from an older file to a new file. The functionality is absolutely awful. Do better.
