Menu/File dropdown not working. When I try to Save as, Export or Print from the menu, nothing happens. Shortcut keys work, but seemingly nothing in the dropdown. I am using the latest version of Indesign and Apple OS

InDesign performance issues: text tool
InDesign performance issues (version 15.1.1 x64 - 32GB RAM installed - Win 10 - Adobe Creative Cloud).
From the previous version the Text tool slows down the program considerably; it is not possible to work with at least two open files (I work with multiple open files, never a problem).
So the work is very slow !!! Please provide a solution. Thank you!4 votes -
dropbox sync font file issue
InDesign 15.1.1 creating font sync issue with Dropbox where it repeatedly changes the AdobeFnt22.lst file again and again while Dropbox tries to sync the file folder. This causes the editing process to be exceptionally sluggish and unresponsive when attempting to edit files saved to Dropbox folders. This does not happen on files saved to local drive (e.g. desktop) only Dropbox folders, and only in the most recent update. Previously it has not been an issue.

Mouse cursor disappears after change text
Indesign 15.1, 15.1.1 Windows 10
When I change text, mouse cursor disappears for few seconds (sometimes less, sometimes more). In this time I can't select anything.
Please don't tell me: - reset preferences. I did it.

Text lag/slow when Documents Folder is present (package)
Since 15.03 there is a Text lag after opening documents that are in a folder that has a Documents folder. This delay has gotten worse in 15.1. If you're working from packaged InDesign folder, try deleting the document fonts folder inside it. Lagging was caused because of a double up in fonts on my computer. This took a month of testing by myelf and IT team to finally figure out!

Major performance issues in 15.0.2 with multiple large documents open
I'm on a Windows laptop with a Core i7, 16 gb of ram and a dedicated GPU. Up until the 15.0.2 update there was some hitching and slowdown with these large files (and I noticed a weird bug where hitting T to use the Type tool doesn't actually change the tool) but now editing text can take up to 10 minutes with more than one file open. I can't make a screencast at the moment since I had to reinstall 15.0.1 to complete the project on time but the filesize we're talking about is 50-75mb, ~60 pages or so with…

Zoom Shortcuts Won't Work
The shortcuts for zooming in and out will not work (Ctr l+ +/-) very frequently. I have to quick the program every time.

idlk lock files cause SharePoint to stop syncing
I am experiencing exactly this issue (see link below).
I don't understand how you have ignored so many user requests and done nothing about this issue in nearly 7 years!

Cannot copy/paste elements from 2019 to 2020 without the element becoming an image
InDesign 2019 14.0.3 copy/paste issue into InDesign 2020 15.0.01 (and vice-versa).
Steps to reproduce:
1. In a 2019 InD doc, copy a text box with text inside it.
2. Open a new document in InD 2020.
3. Paste the text box with text inside it into 2020 InD.
4. The text becomes an image instead of live text. Though, no links show up in the links panel.
5. This can be reproduced if copying from 2020 into 2019. But it does not happen if copying/pasting from a 2020 doc into a 2020 doc, 2019 doc into a 2019 doc.

Live-Linking Word Document
Since updating to 14.0.3 the live linking function for text documents no longer works.
Since updating to 14.0.3 if I place a word document into my Indesign Document and ensure that the link text setting is turned on in file handline it places the word document but is unable to update the file when changes are made in word. It won't even allow for manual updating and you have to re-place the document every time you make an update. This means our project is going to take a lot longer to finish as we have to re-map our paragraph styles…

Short Cut Keys no longer work in Indesign 2019
Indesign 2019
Most of the old standard short cut keys no longer work and I cannot find anywhere what the new ones are or if I can change to a legacy mode. I'm talking basic old school short cuts like "space" to bring up the hand tool temporarily and the "shift" key to proportionately scale an object. Can anyone help me out with this as my productivity is grinding to a halt and I am not happy one bit.4 votes -

CC library saying signed out but cloud is signed in
The CC library panel in indesign 2018 13.1 x64 on Windows 8 says i'm signed out of creative cloud and cant access my libraries but i'm signed in.
Only fix I can find atm is to forcefully sign out then back in but it resets everytime I shut down my computer and I dont want to keep doing that just to access my library.

Separations Preview
Like previous versions of InDesign CC the color separations preview still does not work correctly.
When user tries to view separations by turning a color separation off, or toggling back and forth between colors, the visible page in the document goes completely haywire - scattering elements and superimposing images from other nearby pages. See attached screenshots of the issue.

Fast save is taking 37 seconds
I imported a Word file that has a lot of linked footnotes into InDesign 2018. Spread by spread, I touch each paragraph to fix overrides. There is no reflow of text when I do this step. Yet when I do a plain "save" before going to the next spread, InDesign is taking 37 seconds to save. 37 seconds of watching the rainbow spin. Expected: Paragraph Styles Panel opens to a list of my styles
Actual: Panel opens and the list cannot be seen until the panel is widened to 3x its normal size.The panel appears to be split into two columns with the styles in the left column. When the panel is narrowered (ie normal size), the styles column collapses and the styles list cannot be seen. images pixelated when rotated
When I place an image into InDesign it imports high res, but when the image is rotated, it becomes severely pixelated. Even when the image rotation is a small degree - just a few degrees even. The image preview becomes distorted severly and changes distortion with every degree of rotation. I should mention that I am a professional graphic designer with over 20 years of experience so I have tried all of the obvious fixes - switched view to "overprint preview", set display performance to "High Quality", deleted preferences..
