Cannot click top MacOS Menu Bar with Indesign running
With Indesign 17 running, top menu bar on MacOS Monterey is unclickable (Apple menu onwards - e.g. File, Edit etc). Sometimes releasing the mouse makes the dropdown menu appear - but can't click on items - or the menu next to the one wanted appears). Quitting InDesgn restores the top menu to normal functions for other Apps.

I've had this issue for years an finally found 2 things that help solve the issue.
The quickest way is to disconnect your external monitor for a quick second and reconnect.
The second method I've found is to go into your settings > Control Center > scroll to the very bottom and it says "Automatically hide and show the menu bar" and change it to "Desktop" or "Always". move your window down and then put it back to "In Full Screen Only" or whatever setting you had originally.
Hope one of those 2 fixes helps.

This is still a problem. Here is a film showing the behaviour.

I have the exact same problem. I filed a similar report here (failed to find your report first and support that instead - sorry!): https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/44809156-menu-bar-gets-stuck-indesign-on-m1-pro-mac

Interestingly, adjusting the GUI scaling in preferences makes it work properly for one Indesign restart. But after that the problem is back.
Fresh preferences don’t help either.
