Problem with drop shadow exposure when placing from Illustrator into Indesign
I am using the latest version of Indesign (14.0.1) and Illustrator (23.0.1).
When placing a .ai file with transparency in Indesign and then making a drop shadow (in Indesign), the transparant parts of the object has the drop shadow above it, instead of beneath... :01 vote -
BUG: Imported InDesign file gives wrong preview
When I create an InDesign 'web'-file and apply a gradient feather the preview of this file does not show the elements which have the effect applied to.
When I create a new 'print'file with the same dimensions and elements the preview is correct.
It seems strange that these files seem different in their backbone somehow.1 vote -
Objects with Opacity Fill below 100%, appear as 100% when PDF proof placed in a layout file.
Created ad with objects containing simple color fills below 100% (50% and 30%) opacity. Exported proofs to use in a Indesign magazine layout file. Once the PDF was dropped into a frame, those faded opacity values jumped back to 100%. Fix was to re-edit the original files, change Opacity values, re-save, re-export proof, drop proof back into main layout. Very annoying.

Clearing effects applied to an object causes InDesign to hang.
InDesign CC2018 (13.1): Get the spinning beachball of death when I try to clear effects to an object. Specifically gradient feather for opacity. Just started happening.

Place .ai file indesign loses layers!
Idea? This is a bug. I followed bug link...
Placing .ai file into indesign cc preview is perfect until release. Shows random white spots &yellow.
Renamed file. Same problem. The red is in new layer above the diamond. Normal layer with several overlays. Turned off overlays and same. Why is it that normal layer allows white through? Just when you think you’re an intermediate this happens.
Red low quality diamond is illustrator.
The rest is self explanatory assuming the other two files uploaded. One was import dialog box for placing with shift. Everything looks fine until I place it.1 vote -
