InDesign 16.0 saves Converted files in last used folder, not containing folder
On Catalina OSX (10.15.7), InDesign 2021 (16.0) saves a Converted file to the last used Finder folder, rather than the folder the document is contained in.
Happens with 'Save As...', as well as saving InCopy assignments.
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – version 16.0.1.
Please update to this version to get the fix.

Looks like this has been highest priority for 9 days. Can someone update on the status? This is costing a lot of us extra time and creating situations where we could send clients incorrect versions.

How long is this going to take? It's been going on for weeks. Just found out I overwrote a file because of this issue.

This really needs to be fixed. It is also happening with Mojave 10.14.6, InDesign 2021 (16.0)

It's driving me crazy! This helps a bit - on a mac - I use Default Folder X so I can easily save into any open folder on my desktop

Can't believe this is STILL an issue - just over written important documents in my last used folder, saved only by Time Machine. Come on Adobe, please sort this out for users.

This bug should be fixed soon. In the meantime, this little script will help:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/grefel/idsHelper/master/saveDocument.jsx
It saves converted files as usual (even without any additional dialog).

This has been driving me crazy too. Ever since inDesign updated, I have had to navigate back to the original folder from which I'd opened my file. It's causing me to have several extra clicks with every file and slowing my workflow. Very annoying! I hope they fix this

This has been a major issue for my team and I when using InDesign for our job. We have so many folders for people we work with and this just won't cut it. All our files get placed all over the place if we aren't careful. PLEASE FIX ASAP.

I'm using OSX Mojave and it's happening to me as well.
It's ASTOUNDING how much extra time this consumes when you're pulling/saving dozens of files per day.
I just wanted to make sure this feature hadn't been removed purposefully.

I'm using a Windows 10 computer (not Mac OSX) and it's happening here as well.
