Adobe InDesign teamAn error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Patrick Clark commentedAlong with this bug, I'm also noticing these additional issues:
1.) When I open a legacy version .indd file, the .idlk file that is automatically created disappears once the document opens. This wasn't happening before. Even if the [Converted] file was created in a previous version of InDesign, the .idlk would remain in the folder until the file was closed.
2.) When I open a .indd created by the CURRENT (2021) version of InDesign, an asterisk appears in front of the file name upon opening, as if I've made changes to the file. So I'm prompted to save files that I've JUST opened, even if no changes are made. Really annoying.
I'm aware that correlation doesn't always equal causation, BUT... these 3 issues ALL have to do with file opening/saving so it could be possible that these are related.
An error occurred while saving the comment Patrick Clark commentedThis REALLY needs fixing ASAP.
An error occurred while saving the comment Patrick Clark commentedI'm using OSX Mojave and it's happening to me as well.
It's ASTOUNDING how much extra time this consumes when you're pulling/saving dozens of files per day.
I just wanted to make sure this feature hadn't been removed purposefully.

Since Adobe seems to be dragging their feet on this one, here's a SUPER HELPFUL script to use in the meantime. You can also assign this script to a shortcut if you choose.
