InDesign 16.0 saves Converted files in last used folder, not containing folder
On Catalina OSX (10.15.7), InDesign 2021 (16.0) saves a Converted file to the last used Finder folder, rather than the folder the document is contained in.
Happens with 'Save As...', as well as saving InCopy assignments.

The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – version 16.0.1.

Agreed. Highly annoying. BTW doesn't happen in Illustrator.

Hello, I too faced the same issue. With addition to that, if you open an earlier saved document with all links, after opening all links are missing. You have to relink all of them again manually. When you have to add many photos from different folders it's very irritating. Also may customised workplace goes back to default workplace after every reopening of Indesign app.

Normally when you save as your Indesign document you direct to the map where you saved it last.
In the new Indesign 2021 it saves in (i think) the last map you used or just a random map you used.
It's really confusing and my documents get lost on my MaC. -

Same problem here. Completely unacceptable to workflow. Every previously existing INDD file you open after updating the app is [Converted] so this will be a persistent problem for some time.

Same problem here, it's really a big problem we have shared access of folders with our customers, it's a problem if a wrong file slips into a folder of a competetive customer!!! absolutley nogo!!! pleas fix this!!!!
