Navigation Points have been re-introduced in the Media panel. This feature is available in the latest release of InDesign (version 16.0). Please use this release to use Navigation Points for Video/Audio files.

However, the Controller options will not be available. As communicated earlier, all options (Controller options being one of them) related to Flash/Flash player have been removed from InDesign as Flash Player is now being EOL’d (End of Life).

The non updating/distributing of Flash is effective as of December 31, 2020 – ten months away and will change the Media Controller of ID2021.

In the interim, we have 10 months of a non-working ID2020 Media Controller!

    What a mess.....

    Hello All,

Thank you for your patience all this while.
This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.
Do let us know in the comments, if you face any problem with the new update.

Thank you for your non-answer, Adobe.

It's been 4 months and InDesign still hasn't been fixed!

Ignoring the issue won't make it go away....but it may make Adobe users go away.

Abhinav – any ETA on a fix.

14.0.1 is definitely not the answer.

    Thanks!

ID 14.0.1 is STILL freezing and crashing. I can't count how many times I've done clean installs – not to mention the money I've lost putzing around with this less-than-consistent software. What a major disappointment! Back to ID 2018 for me....
