InDesign 14.0. freezes after opening
After opening InDesign 14.0 I can open project. But as soon a leave first running screen with InDesign, work on 2nd Screen or even just opening explorer or browse in the internet, InDesign 14.0 is freezing. I cannot even close it. I have to restart the system. In fact I cannot work with it. I have to run 13.1 (2018) to work with ID.
I am working with Desktop PC and Win10

Hello All,
Thank you for your patience all this while.
This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.

Similar issue. First use after upgrade. After launch, 14.0.0.130 aurtomatically opens most recent saved 2018 document as Untitled 1. Saving that as a 2019 document locks app with spinning beachball. Cannot open other docs or do any other actions in the tool.
Have restarted app, then entire system. Interestingly, in Force Quit dialog, Microsoft Teams app and InDesign both show the In icon.
Unlike PS and AI, which save 2018, it appears InD 2018 is overwritten.
Mac Os 10.13.6 iMac 3.4GHz/8 GB RAM

Same problem. InDesign spins endlessly while trying to open any file. And not back compatible to 2018, this is terrible. I'm rebuilding in 2018 and scrapping 209 until it works at all

I think the problem is with the fonts. I am not experiencing a freeze until the first time I try to try text or click on any character or character style menu/panel item. Then it freezes. I learned to wait a bit: it resumes once it has finished whatever it is doing. This is just a guess, but my system does not freeze if I just jump from page to page or do something else not font related.

Having similar problem after updating to InDesign CC version 14.0. After opening a new document and placing an image cannot type in frame. Then have to 'Énd Task' in Task Manager to close InDesign as it has frozen. Also using Desktop and Windows 10. Is there a fix?
