We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

During our analysis of issue mentioned in the thread, we found that you had reported a crash with an older release of InDesign.

We have released InDesign CC2019.0.1 with lot of stability fixes. If you are not on 14.0.1.209 then I would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.

I am also having this problem! Is there any patch or solution that we can use? I can only find a patch for InDesign CC 2017

I have this problem too with one of my files. I can't so much as open the hyperlinks panel without ID crashing. Using AppleScript, I have deleted every hyperlink destination, link and source except the corrupt hyperlink source, but I can't find any way of deleting the remaining link source which doesn't crash InDesign.

I'm also crashing when trying to delete hyperlinks. The file is an update of a report so the original was created in an older version of InDesign now saved in 2018. Not having issues with URLs but the contents of the report had links to pages within the document which are now wrong. Initially I was just going to delete them all and start again but it crashed several times. I've narrowed it down to 4 I can't delete without crashing, also can't delete the text box they're in without crashing. I seem to be able to update them to the correct pages but not over keen on leaving something I know can crash the document in there.

I'm facing the exact same problem. And even once I identified the corrupt link, (I restaured old backup of the file), ID crashes if I try to delete the Table of Content text box where the link is or even if I try to erase the full page where the TOC is.
