Indesign CC 2018 Crash
Issues with the updated Indesign crashing when inserting any text or images. Comes up with Indesign stopped working crash error.
Major issue as this is part of my job... How do I revert back to the old one whilst this is fixed??
We have fixed a number of crashes with InDesign’s latest Nov’17 update.
Please download the latest InDesign version (InDesign CC 13.0.1) for the fix.

If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud application, click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.
I have just (stupidly) updated to 2019 and am having this issue constantly.
I did not have these issues last week with the same documents in 2018 revision....

I noticed that these comments are from November 2017.
I am a professional technical author/Illustrator and I have the very latest version of the entire Creative Cloud applications.
InDesign keeps crashing when I place and anchored graphics, these were created in Adobe Illustrator CC2018, latest version.
I have never had this problem until about a month ago and it keeps freezing my computer.
This is ridiculous for such an expensive and supposedly professional application.
Adobe Support you are terrible. This problem has been ongoing for years and you have still not solved it.
You keep asking for data and details, but you have still not solved the issue and seem to be ignoring the professional people that rely on your applications to make a living.
Please sort this out, as I have used your applications for decades but recently, I have becoming extremely nervous about using them because of their instability.
Indesign CC crashes so often I'm thinking of going back to CS6!!
My Indesign is runny so terrible that I' thinking about resulting to other software.

I am still getting major crashes with my catalog after page 36 of a 78 page document. I didn't have this problem until I updated to CC2018. I need to be able to make corrections and get this off to print in less than a week
Please help. this is my job on the line.
13.0.1 still crashes in the background.
I just got a note from Adobe to update with version 13.0.1.

ID crashes immediately on loading, even when not loading a document.

Since the update to InDesign 2018 the program crashes when I try to open or save files on our NAS. Also the NAS crashes and I have to restart it, because none of the PCs in the local network can access it.
Is there any solution for this Problem?
It seems as InDesign is sending a command to the NAS, the NAS can't deal with and goes down.
Indesign 2018 on mac el capitan will not launch. gets to "initializing panels" and quits

My Indesign CC 2018 is crashing when I relink. Apparently this has to do with the icc info column being turned on in the links panel. Hid ICC column and INDD did not crash.

InDesign CC 2018 also kept crashing on my iMac and was horribly slow - had to revert back to CC 2017 (also had lots of other bugs - some were fixed by clearing the preferences but not all of them...)

Same issue please help. InDesign CC 2018 was working fine. Now when I try opening files made in 2017 the files crash and the crash report pops up.
Same issue here! even when copy and pasting from one table to another within in-design it is crashing out!
Unfortunately I can't send the files as they are confidential. I am just placing in word docs and JPEGs. I've reverted back to the old version as I have no issues working in this version.
Yes it does help but I am not able to reproduce the issue at my end.
Do you think it is specific to a given file which you are placing in InDesign?
Which format are you trying to place in InDesign for both image and text?
Can you share a sample files with me using which I can try to reproduce the issue at my end?

I am using Windows. I'm placing in text and images, not copying and pasting.
I am only getting messages that say:
"Adobe InDesing CC 2018 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Then it closes...
