Wrong menu gets expanded while clicking on an item on Menu bar in InDesign
When InDesign is opened on my second screen, I can't select anything on top menus.
InDesign CC 2017 on Windows 10
Hello All,
Thank you for your support all this while. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.
If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.
Let us know your feedback in the comment section.
Thanks,
Abhinav Kaushik

I have the same problem, but maybe slightly different (or maybe we describe it differently).
If I click on File, Edit or Layout, it will jump over to Help. However, it's not consistent as to when it happens. Sometimes when I click on File, Edit or Layout it just opens up Help as if I had clicked there; usually it's a split second after I click on one of those menu items and it at least makes the appearance that I'm clicking on the correct one before Help opens; then sometimes there's a delay and I can move my pointer a little way down the list before it jumps over to Help.
I either use the system shortcuts to open those menus or use the arrow keys to move from Help to the correct place.

I have the same problem. I am running InDesign on a laptop and i pull it into an additional monitor to edit. I have solved the issue by changing the display of the monitor to from 100% (recommended) to 125% to match my laptop's recommended display. It is the only thing that managed to help. This problem only arose when I changed the layout from 1,2 to 2,1.
Hope this helps!

happens all the time for me too - but only in InDesign - not the other programs in the suite.

2. Click on File, Edit or Layout menu and scroll to select command 3. expect that you can select command 4. open menu jumps to Help menu before you can scroll to the command - have to use hotkeys to execute

Is it the case that the secondary monitor has a different DPI setting than the primary monitor.
What is the resolution of both of your monitors? Also, if you make this your primary monitor, does the issue start to happen with the another monitor?

If I use the menu bar (especially the ones on the right side -> view, window, help...), the mouse button is not placed on the menu point I try to use. It shows the dropdown menu of the menu point left to it... I try to show the bug on the attachment.
