Copying RGB from Illustrator to Indesign no longer working. (Comes out CMYK)
When I copy an RGP element from Illustrator and paste it into InDesign, it comes out in CMYK (much more dull, and less vibrant than the RGB image). I have assured that my document is setup correctly and even had Adobe Support check it out and said that everything was setup correctly but the claimed that "copy and paste isn't the way to do it", and I need to "Place" the file every time. Am I the only one that finds this unacceptable? (Running the latest version of Adobe products and the latest MacOS Catalina)

Color Dialog issue
Right now, the color displayed is not the color of the item selected. The color seems to have frozen. If I attempt to use the eyedropper in the color palette selection dialog, the whole program freezes, and it is unusable.
Second issue, If I double click to select an item in a group, indesign thinks I want to add text and automatically adds selects with cursor to start typing.
so, two issues, color and forced type selection.

Swatches panel locked in Adobe InDesign CC 2017 Win 10
When editing colours into the swatches panel, the entire panel will be blocked, the colours greyed-out. After having deleted the cache it's OK for a moment, but the problem re-appears regularly. In the specification panel the colours can be nevertheless selected. Who knows the solution to this problem?

rectangle tool not showing stroke and fill in Preview mode
Since the last update the rectangle tool does not show strokes and fills on rectangles and ovals when I switch from Normal to Preview/bleed/slug/presentation mode. The only way I can make a rectangle that shows correctly (and prints) is to create a text box. It is an okay workaround for a while, but I cannot do ovals.
I am on CC, version 14.0.2 x64, and have done all updates.

Color theme tool pop-up window unable to be closed
I'm running Adobe Indesign 14.0.1
To recreate, select the color theme tool and click anywhere on a placed image, a small horizontal color theme menu pops up with five swatches and a few other buttons to the right of the swatches, and then never goes away. Ever. There is no option to hide or close the window and while I appreciate having a palette to pick from on my screen, I went with my own palette for this project and the color theme tool was unnecessary. There needs to be some way to hide or close this small window that…

Radial gradient becomes oval when rectangle frame is vertical
Radial gradient becomes oval when rectangle frame is vertical
1) Version: InDesign CC 2018
2) Draw a vertical rectangular shape and insert a radial gradient
3) Expecting the gradient to be a perfect circle.
4) Actual result is an oval gradient that is impossible to change into a perfect circular gradient, even when holding the Shift key while using the Gradient Swatch Tool.
5) No matter what I do, the gradient remains an oval, unless I stretch the shape back to a square or a horizontal rectangle. The only annoying way I found to temporarily solve this problem is to…

White shows as black
All white (pure white such as paper, 0000, ffffff, etc.), shapes and even within linked images are showing black. Some pages are affected and some are not. If I go into the swatch slider CMYK mode, sliding K from 100 to 13 is normal, however, 12-0 starts scaling back down to black. I've tried linking to all types of images (TIFF, PNG, JPEG, transparencies). The file was fine last time I worked in it, but upon reopening this is happening. Is this a bug or a corrupt file?

Eyedropper doesn't pick up the correct color
I'm trying to select a color in a pdf that was placed in an InDesign document. The eyedropper won't pick up the correct color. It's consistently choosing a color that's darker than the color I want. I have zoomed in all the way so I can click on individual pixels, but that doesn't make a difference. I'm clicking on a light gray (almost white) pixel and the eyedropper is choosing a dark gray.
The layer with the pdf is the active layer and it is unlocked. I'm using InDesign CC 14.0.1

Swatches should show text colour when character style is applied
When a GREP Style applies a character style that includes a colour change the Swatches panel and the Fill in the Control Panel do not show the applied swatch. The swatch shown is for the base style without the GREP Style applied.
In the attaches screen shot the green text is affected by a GREP Style. As you can see the Swatches panel shows the text is black, not the applies swatch.

Swatches panel not displaying correctly
My swatches panel is not displaying correctly. In order to view my current swatches, I have to extend the width of the panel. When the swatch panel is the same width as the other panels, the swatches are completely hidden. Also missing at any size are the buttons for new swatch, delete swatch, etc. These buttons appear on other panels but not swatches. Quitting InDesign and rebooting my computer did not resolve the issue.

Placing objects with gradient from illustrator.
Hi, I - and not only I - expierenced ugly 'new feature' that is can't copy objects with gradients from Illustrator 23.0.1 to new version of InDesign 14.0.1 (in previous version all works fine) in editable format. Yes I heard about placing ext. file - but this not the sollution. For many version of InDesign this works perfectly then why now this feature is broken?
1 voteThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.
The list of fixed issues can be found at: helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/fixed-issues.html

Can you please look at the separations plate and let us know the color values.
You just have to follow simple steps:
1. Launch your InDesign
2. Create an object say rectangle and fill your color
3. Go to Window→Output→Separations Preview
4. Select the drop down of View to Separations
5. Hover over your object. The separations will show you how much % of which color component comprises the color. Also, let me know the Platform and OS version that you are working on.
A short video showing the issue will be very helpful.
You can directly reach me out at sakverma@adobe.comThanks,

Pantone Solid Spot colors added from InDesign to a CC Library become Magenta Process colors in Illustrator
I already reported this on the Illustrator uservoice site, but did not see any reaction so far. I think it is a big bug when (spot) colors color cannot be shared reliably between Adobe applications:
A Pantone Solid Spot color (or any Lab spot color) added to a CC library in InDesign will become 100% Magenta CMYK Process color in the Swatches panel when added from the CC library by double clicking in Illustrator.

8 votesThank you for reporting the issue. We need some information around the issue which may help us in narrowing down the root cause:
1. Does it happen with the latest InDesign version 14.0.1 ?
2. Is it document specific or happens with all the documents?
3. Does it happen with Swatches panel only or all other panels while expanding ?
4. Have you added any extra swatches or it happens with the default swatches ?
5. Please specify your Platform, OS version and InDesign version.A short video depicting the issue will be very helpful.
