Content Collector Linked Images Not Updating
OS: Windows 10

Who has the problem: My whole team at work.My team runs static banner ads in automotive. The auto brands have event logos each month. We have several vehicles in running. Each file contains one vehicle and five different ad sizes. To update the logos faster we have them linked to a single InDesign file. That way we only have to relink the logo images in the one file. Embedding links won’t work, if you do not inbed each links manually
If you choose multiple pictures in your links-panel and click “embedding all instances”, it does show the “embedded in document”-icon, but this is a false information. It only works, if you embed every image individually after selecting one by one image.

Cannot use restrain option or opt/command/shift to make duplicates?
Something I have been frustrated with since CS 2019 was introduced is starting to really annoy me now. I have not been able to find how to fix the problems but basically ....
If I draw a rule using the Line tool using 'shift' to restrain the rule to horizontal or vertical does not work, it just floats about at any angle you can think of - I just want to draw a perfect horizontal rule without having to go and edit the position markers!
Then there's the restrain option to enlarge or reduce shapes/images etc - it no longer…1 vote -
Can't Place images after upgrading to Mac Catalina
Just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Catalina and suddenly I'm unable to place images. When I select Place from the File menu, click on the file I want, the Open command is grayed out. The only way I can get images onto the page is by dragging them from Bridge. I'm running ID 14.0.3, the latest version.

Choose image among several
In CC2019 Indesign, when importing several pictures at once and trying to place them in prepared frames, the right arrow to select next image doesn't work properly (slow reaction and only shows next picture while placing cursor on next frame or displaying an image but loading an other one in the frame). Worked well in CC2018. Is this a bug and if yes, how to fix it?

Image catalog script - For creating Contact Sheets
Under Scripts, my image catalog script does not complete the place command to create an image catalog for me. When bug is worked out, I would also like an option to number each image, instead of only placing file names.
To recreate: Create new document, letter size. Open scripts, and run Imagecatalog.applescript. Set rows and columns( doesn't matter, also doesn't matter if labels is checked or unchecked) . Page will populate rectangle boxes, but not graphic frames nor insert images.

cc libraries deletes my text
Hello.
When adding my own text to a file in InDesign/CC Libraries (See attached image) - it deletes part of the text so I have to rewrite it again.
Example:
'Saks' becomes 'ks'There's a glitch and the text disappears.
It's a collaboration work account, but can't it get more stable?best regards.

Place; inconsequent text string in dialog
When choosing File -> Place the dialog says "Open" on the selected item. In stead of "Place"
In training on indesign i allways have to explain this. We can only Open indesign files, but we can Place other media. The dialog window should use the term Place.1 vote -
dublicate layer with object group
If you dublicate a layer with a object group on it, and then ungroup (the also dublicated) objects on the new layer, they are all moved to their original layer.
This objects should stay on the new layer!

PDF Place only shows document - not generic PDF icon
BUG? CC 2019. When placing a PDF file we used to get generic PREVIEW icon which was preferred. Now every "place" only shows the actual contents of the PDF document. This is in the FILE -> PLACE -> "Choose PDF" dialog window

illustrator art resizes with new Content aware fit feature
With the new Content Aware Fit feature Illustrator art from documents in a previous version of Indesign come in resized in the box. Therefore all legacy indd documents have Illustrator art that resized.

In InDesign ist es zum Teil nicht mehr möglich, Textfelder so zu skalieren, dass sich Zeilenumbrüche etc. verändern. Das ist ein übler Fehler!!!
Und wieso gibt es das Programm auf Deutsch, aber diese Webseite nicht???

Library objects jump when being dragged onto the page
In InDesign CC 14.0.1 objects dragged from a library jump from the designated location to the pasteboard at the top of the spread. They can be repositioned easily enough by dragging but it takes extra time.

Paste in place behaves erratically for Word document import
I have a layout created from Placing a Word document with some vector graphics frames (originally pasted from Excel as a WMF) and text/table frames. These graphics need to be replaced with updated versions each month.
If I Place a new Word file into a temporary document then try to copy and paste new graphics one-by-one into the older version of the document, it looks like the graphics are updated if I stay on "medium quality" display setting. However if I change to "high quality", the graphics revert to previous versions.

Problema ao atualizar arquivos do Illustrator / Problem updating files from Illustrator
Boa noite. Há dois dias que começou. Depois da última atualização. Quando já tenho uma imagem vetorizado no InDesign, vou reedita-la no Illustrator (por exemplo mudança de cor ou texto) quando atualizo no InDesign ela muda de posição e de tamanho entro da caixa, quebrando todos ajustes de layout.

variable barcodes not centered in frame and not always appearing in print files
Recently upgraded to InDesign CC 14.0.1 x64, HP SmartStream Designer 14.0.6, and Tech It Barcode Studio 15.11.1.23277.
Existing variable barcodes in InDesign documents are now not centered left to right in their frame.
Sometimes they are not appearing in the JLT print files created using SSD. They do appear in PDF print files created in SSD.

illustrator
When importing .ai files it doesn't load correctly and even when exporting to pdf if displays it pixelated.
This image is not just on typical view, but even on high quality or even exporting as pdf X-1a.

Can't place TIF or PNG files into InDesign. The internet tells me that I can, however I've been trying for hours and it only works when I convert to JPG.
1 voteIt is possible to place TIF/PNG files in InDesign. No need to convert to JPG. We’ve tried this and it works for us.
