1. Adobe InDesign 14 always launches on a wrong monitor out of two.

   All good with Photoshop, Illustrator, etc, but Indesign keeps opening every time on a wrong monitor no matter what. Plus, even when you drag it to another display, all the dialog boxes keep appearing on a different monitor. Moreover, it resets your workspace to Essentials every time and it take you some time to set it up again after start. Annoying and counterproductive

2. Quadclick to edit text in grouped textframes doesn't work anymore

   (14.0.1 x64, Windows):

   Switching from CS6 to CC.
   The Task: you have a group of items. The groupd also contains a textframe with some text. You want to edit this text. There is a change in the way you can "click-into" the group and into the text edit mode.

   In CS6
   - you doubleclicked on the textframe in the group (that selected the textframe in the group), and you doubleclicked again onto the text to get to edit the text (textcursor). It was fast. Basicly a quad-click.

   In CC:
   - That quad-click doesn't work. You have to doubleclick-PAUSE-doubleclick. And that nescessary pause, for which you don't get any feedback, is quite long. If you don't make a pause you can click forever and nothing happens, you're still stuck with the selection of the textframe. You can no longer click "downwards/into" stuff anymore.

   (This is such a basic task that i am faced with this problem hundred times a day. That's how painful this is)

   Please restore the faster behaviour.

   (14.0.1 x64, Windows):

5. Properties Panel Missing in Indesign CC 2018 (v 14.0)

   Properties Panel is not available under Window>
   
   I'm on a Windows 10 Ent, Adobe Suite CC; Indesign 2018.

   I have restarted the PC; deleted opm.db; tried different documents. BTW this is the first time I was using Indesign. I am working with the Adobe Tutorials.

   Properties panel is available only in InDesign CC 2019 release. It was not available in earlier versions.

6. user preferences not holding

   Adobe InDesign CC 2017 - being used in a Virtual Machine (VM) - VMware Horizon Client.

   User preferences are not holding when I switch them to what I like. Yes I quite the application after setting them and then sometimes they will be the same but then sometimes when I open ID they revert back to the default settings.

8. InDesign CC 2018—Page shifts when browsing with key commands

   Browsing pages using Command+Page Up/Down or Fn+Shift+Arrow Up/Down shifts page slightly left and down. Infuriating when trying to see if elements are properly aligned between pages. The rulers seem to shift as well.

   I'm using Indesign CC 2018 version 13.1

   My document size is 4k 3840 x 2160 px. When my doc is 1920 x 1080 px the page shifting does NOT happen.

   Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

10. GREP styles make UI drastically unresponsive in CC (while still fine in CS6)

    Indesign 14.0.1, german, win7

    For comparison in Indesign CS6 create a fresh single-page standard document, DinA4. Create a large textframe with 2 columns on page, fill frame with blind text. Have some styles with GREP styles looking for charactercombinations... (I know GREP styles are computationally intense, that's not the point.)
    Click and drag the the textframe with the mouse. The text gets greeked/switched off, the frame border is refreshed/re-drawn like 80 frames per second silky smooth WITH the grep styles. Save the document. Open that document in Indesign CC. Click and drag the frame - it's slow, like 2-5 frames per second slow. Not 80 frames per second smooth.
    Delete the GREP styles from the styles and drag the frame now - redraw is smooth.

    Please fix. It makes Indesign CC a pain to work with compared to CS6. Worked well for years.

11. Indesign CC 2018 (oct): display of frame borders offset by 1 pixel

    Indesign CC 14.0.1 x64, german

    put a pageitems' left border exactly on X=0, aligning the item to the left side of a right page on facing pages... see screenshot...

    Frame border is displayed offset by 1 pixel.

    This does not apply to right aligned items on left pages. Here the frame border is displayed fine.

    It's minor ... but ugly.

12. keyboard shortcut CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-Enter reverted on restart. Num . and Num enter not working.

    Indesign 14.0.1. x64, german, german keyboard layout

    I try to delete the shortcuts for
    - Windows > Interactive: EPUB-Interactive-Preview
    - Panels > EPUB-Interactive-Preview: Documentpreview
    - Panels > EPUB-Interactive-Preview: Spread preview

    and i try to reassigne these shortcuts "CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-Enter" and "ALT-SHIFT-ENTER" etc. to other functions. I save my custom keyboard shortcuts and it works for this session. But everytime i restart Indesign they are revcerted to the EPUB-functions.

    ALSO the numpad keys "," and "enter" are no longer differentiated from the normal "," and "enter" keys and are thus not working. Back in Indesign CS6 the numpad keys were labeled "Num ," and "Num enter".

    All other custom keyboard shortcuts of mine seem to be working at least.

    Please investigate.

13. Indesign CC2019 14.0.1 - Some panels collapsed after restart

    Indesign 14.0.1 x64, german, Windows8

    I have "Character", "Paragraph|Stories|Attributes", "Layers", "Color"-Panels docked to the left side of Indesign on Screen 1. I also have several other panels stacked but freefloating on a second screen. No panel is ever minimized. No panel is ever collapsed in my setup. I always have them expanded and open. This is my standart workspace. After closing Indesign and starting it, sometimes it collapes the left-docked panels. The freefloating panels on screen2 remain ok.

    In settings "auto-minimize panels" is OFF.
    "Auto show panels" is checked "ON".

    Expected behaviour is - of course - to find indesign starting as it was when i left it.

14. No keyboard focus on launch

    InDesign 14.0.1.209, macOS Mojave 10.14.2

    When launched and the following conditions hold, InDesign does not seem to have keyboard focus (i.e.., no keyboard shortcuts work):

    1. Show ‘Start’ Workspace When No Documents Are Open is unticked.
    2. The Control bar is open in the default workspace.
    3. The CC Libraries panel is either not in the default workspace or collapsed.

    Note that conditions 2 and 3 are met by several of the standard workspace, for example both Advanced and Typography (but not Book, Essentials or Essentials Classic).

    If you choose a menu item or click in an input field, the app gains keyboard focus. Otherwise you seem to be able to type endlessly without any discernible effect.

16. panels keep moving

    The tool panels keep changing position, flying out or closing in a seemingly random manner. Certainly their movement is counter productive to any given use.

    I've just updated to ID 2019 and my panel positions are all lost. This is after several month of wrestling with the demented behaviour Adobe has given them.

    In the 'old' days, one set up the panels how preferred and pretty much left them alone.

    Could Adobe please return to this functional panel behaviour and stop them flying out, moving about, or getting lost on each update?

    Having to click things open and close don each use is time consuming and wearisome. It completely interferes with any creative method - having to literally 'fight' the interface.

17. preview 'w' shortcut doesn't work

    Regularly doesn't respond to the 'w' key shortcut to toggle between regular/preview views.

    Closing entire program fixes the issue.

19. [CC2019] [Bug] Sort by name not automatically applied

    After a designer applied "Sort By name" in the paragraph style panel, and adds another style or renames a style, the style list is not automatically sorted again. The panel doesn't keep the list of styles automatically sorted by name.

20. Drop-down menu options not highlighting

    Visual feedback of selected item works when moving down through list using Down Arrow Key. Visual feedback does not work when moving back up through the list using Up Arrow Key. It will select the correct item, it just doesn't show that the correct item is currently highlighted.

    The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
    Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.
