1. Panel adjustment arrows do not stay, they just blink and gone.

   Using 16.4 in Mac 11.6. Cannot slide panels in Application Frame mode. The arrows blink but go off quickly. If you're quick it works but not like it used to be.

2. Shift + Tab / Ctrl + Shift + Tab doesn't work properly with reordered Windows

   Shift + Tab usually switches to the next open window/project. with Ctrl is switches to previous window.
   That works so far.

   It doesn't work anymore though, as soon as you rearrange the order of the windows.

   Say you have project A, Project B, Project C open, but you move the window from Project C between A and B

   so now its: A, C, B

   if I now want to switch from C to B I would click Shift + Tab. But instead to the obvious next Tab "project B" it switches STILL to A.

   So Indesign constantly remembers the original order, no matter how you sort the tabs, which is kinda stupid. I think this should be fixed.

   For instance this works as it should in Illustrator already.
   Photoshop has the same Problem as Indesign.

4. Cross Reference search doesn't recognize typographer's quotes

   When creating a cross-reference by searching for text with a particular style, the search text will not recognize a typographer's single quote. Therefore, a word like "woman's" with a single prime mark will work, but that same word using a proper single quote mark will yield no results, even if I can verify the existence of the text in the document to which I'm creating the cross-reference. The search function should be able to recognize that character, but if not, could it auto-replace such characters with the dumb quote mark? Failing that, could there be a simple warning message telling the user that some characters may not be recognized so the user knows to look at what is input to the search box? I also found that a paragraph return, even if it existed by the text searched, would not get picked up. Again, if that is an offending character, it should trigger a warning or otherwise prompt the user so they don't have to go searching to see if the text actually appears in the document.

5. Blank EPUB Interactivity Panel in InDesign 16.3.2 on MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) running OS 10.15.7 Catalina.

   I have uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign. I've installed it again deleting all old prefs. I've restarted reinstalled software and dumped prefs on start up holding down Shift/Ctrl/ALT/Cmd keys, and 'Yes' clicked when asked if I want to delete preferences file. I am at my wits end with this issue.

6. libraries

   ******* Adobe, I'm still getting this CC libraries pane in InDesign being super zoomed-in... it comes and goes but I always have to restart InDesign to correct it... only to have it return to plague me constantly.

   I've spent over 2 hours with Adobe Support with no solution, and I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple versions (including the latest) many times.

   Nothing works!

   See attached image to view the problem.

   This has been like this since late 2020! ADOBE CAN YOU PLEASE FIX YOUR SOFTWARE?!?!?!?!?

7. prompt message

   a prompt appears on the bottom of my indesign screen after opening an old file I need to work on (my portfolio):

   "Type 1 fonts will no longer be supported after 2023

   A blue message box regarding Type 1 not being support starting 2023. Your document contains 0 Type 1 fonts...... more info....."

   That box is not leaving my workspace even after I click for more information; It obstructs my workspace.

   The chat technician says:

   "The message must only be popping up while working on the document. It will not appear once you export it to other file format. I am sharing you a link where you can post your suggestion regarding the product :
   https://indesign.uservoice.com/
   I will also be sharing the issue with my senior to fix this if possible."

   So my suggestion is to please add a "close window" after one reads the message - I will be working on many old files (as I'm new to Creative Cloud) and this will continue to be an issue for me. I understand that 2023 is when this will no longer be working. I can not substitute all of my files (so much extra work) that quickly - to rid this box to work effectively. So the close window will be super helpful ;/

8. New Document UI Bug - Spec Tabbing

   When creating a New Document...
   After you type your Width and hit the tab button it should always toggle next to Height, NOT toggle to Units. This is a UI bug that has come and gone numerous times over the years. I can not conceive of any situation a designer who is working quickly would ever decide to adjust their Units after they have put in their Width specs.

   Please correct this.... again

    indesign frame workspace won't move, won't grab, red close button unresponsive & won't close ... so many bugs regarding the panels and frames!!!!!

12. Window size and position is forgotten

    Even though another entry entitled "InDesign in Windows ALWAYS forgets app size and position!" is marked as "Fixed/Solved" elsewhere in these pages, the issue is not fixed. In fact, it is more persistent in the latest 16.2.1 "update"... plus, ID crashes way more often now as well... I know this is another issue but for me when InDesign does not work as advertised, the whole thing –crashes, window size and position– is ONE issue: Adobe InDesign is buggy, more than ever, period.

13. PLEASE INCREASE THE USER INTERFACE FONT SIZE - My eyesight is suffering!

    I have tried to increase the zoom size to increase the overall font size when I am working on InDesign and it is still too small! My eyesight really hurts, even after the adjustments. Note: The adjustment works with Illustrator, so I am not sure why Indesign cannot do the same thing. I am so tired of the tiny font size.

14. InDesign UI frame changes colour

    I guess this is a bug but i actually think it could be a good idea. Attached are a couple of examples of what's happened on my screen from time to time. The UI takes on a florescent colour - and all palette names/numbers, etc change to this colour.
    Small appearing UI's seems to have been quite a big topic in recent years - especially as we all move toward 4K screens. So this 'bug', if that's what it is, seems to work really well for me and gives the whole workspace much more clarity. But i just have no idea how i trigger it! I wonder if this could be useful to Adobe in solving a lot of people's criticisms lately?

17. Unable to Rename Items Within a Layer

    Using Adobe InDesign Version 16.2.1

    I used to be able to click on the name of an item within a layer to be able to rename it. I am no longer able to do this. If I click the layer, it flashes once to allow me to change them name but immediately goes back to being normal. It will not allow me to change the name anymore. I never had trouble with this before.

    I am able to change the name of the actual layer by double clicking it and renaming it in the "Layer Options" pop-up box but there is no option available for the items within the layer.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign three times now with no change.
    Of course this is not a major issue, but I do like to be able to rename the items in my layers to keep everything organised for specific files.

18. [ID-4250752][MAC]Page numbers cut-off in Page panel when viewing in Horizontal mode

    Currently on Mac OS Big Sur using inDesign 16.1

    When viewing the pages panel in horizontal view and the page count exceeds what the panel can hold the scroll bars appear but then the last row of pages seem to have their page numbers hidden behind the UI and are not visible no matter how much you move the scroll bars down.

    I have seen this behavior since inDesign 15 on Mac OS Catalina.

19. InDesign 16.1 menu unclickable. Always shows hour glass cursor on Windows

    Hi,

    Starting today morning I am facing issues in accessing menu items on my InDesign 2021 16.1 on Windows. The application cursor is the wait cursor mode and clicking on any menu item does not have any effect. Even keyboard can't be used to select any menu items. However, I can open a new document using "Create new" button as shown.

    I can't understand what's the issue and how to resolve. FYI, I have InDesign 2015 Release and Debug versions installed on this machine

    Adobe InDesign 16.2.1 x64
    After updating OS or indie, (this week there were both) My workspace resetted to Essentials and settings were gone. There is so much work creating a good starting/default settings. So I'm totally sad now.
