1. Include a rollover reveal of the hyperlinks in place.

   Checking hyperlinks (i.e. where a button takes you to another page in the document) is time consuming. A rollover reveal of where the hyperlink goes would save an enormous amount of time.
   This could also be an Acrobat feature - i.e. once you have exported as an interactive PDF - you can rollover and check there.

   Missing support for "TDM", "PDF/UA" and "PLUS License Data Format" in XMP-Metadata in all Adobe apps.
   There are not data fields for "TDM" (text-and-data-mining), PDF/UA (accessibility) and "PLUS License Data Format" in the UI of all Adobe apps.
   This information can currently only be added manually by import of an XML-Snippet-File in the tab "raw-data".

4. Getting calendar events into a table

   I cannot be the only person trying to do this, but have not seen a solution anywhere. I produce a monthly newsletter that has a calendar of events. I can export .ics files, make .csv files with the info formatted, but data merge doesn't seem to have a way to drop things into cells of a table.
   Would love to find a script that let's me enter the URL of the public link to a Google calendar, prompt for a date range, grab data, then populate my lovely table.
   My "manual solution" currently means using the clipboard for every event.

5. Move page and articles between documents (accessibility)

   If I design a page of my document seperately, I want to be able to move the severed page into my document, and also import the articles included in that document.
   It should be optional, like the option to keep layers intact when copying objects between documents - maybe with a setting that allows me to say "copy articles" and a checkmark I can set.

   For expample:
   Right now, if I design a complex starting page for a long document seperate from the rest of the document (for example if a colleague creates the document), I have to re-do the articles after inserting the page into the other document.

6. Change Asset Characteristics (Color, Style, Color Space) in Adobe Libraries

   The Problem:
   When building out an icon system in Adobe Libraries, you need to save a separate icon for each color variation, style variation (we have a filled style, line style, and multi-color style), and color space (digital vs. print). For our organization, there are 3 styles, 3 color variations for each, and 2 color spaces, meaning you need 18 different versions of a single icon. For large icon libraries, this results in a massive library and poor performance (icons with too many assets start to slow down and cause crashes).

   My Idea for a Solution:
   Allow users to create specified color, style and color space variations for any library asset. In short, you could establish what colors are allowed for an asset that users could pick from and then drag into their projects.

   In our organization's example, we could pick a digital color space, select an icon from the line style, and then choose from an approved set of colors to drag into a project.

   From an interface perspective, we'd need to be mindful that users are likely going to be using a lot of icons in a single document, so having to make all of these selections for each icon would be cumbersome. Perhaps using filters to show all of the icons in a particular color space, style and color would be a shortcut so you could show the whole library in a consistent way at once.

   Another possible variable to introduce would be a safety space around an graphic asset like an icon. Right now, we're building in a non-filled, non-stroked box to add some space around our icons to help with consistent alignment and scale. This isn't handled consistently across Adobe products. Illustrator honors and includes that box, but InDesign ignores it. That's problematic when Libraries aren't consistent across programs.

   I know this type of thing also comes into play for brand identities with different logo color options, configurations, and color spaces, so this would affect a large percentage of users who rely on Adobe Libraries.

8. clipping path select subject

   Detect edges is way out of date. This should/could be replaced with the same sort of programing that the current Text runaround tool uses (select subject) this would give designers a ton more speed to get designs done rather than needing to go back and forth to Photoshop to create clipping paths. Currently want this mostly for the mock up stage of my design files but if the paths are good enough i don't see why they couldn't wind up being used in final production. This would save loads of time... Especially if it was object aware and could create multiple paths to choose from.

9. Quickly Change Icon Panel Auto Collapse

   Depending upon the type of work I'm doing, I find myself going to Edit > Preferences > Interface and turning on or off Auto-Collapse Icon Panels.
   It would be very convenient, and save several clicks, if this could be done on the Icon Panel itself, either with a checkbox or a toggle icon.

    Description:
    In Adobe InDesign, there is currently no option to place images behind text without converting the text to outlines or paths. In Photoshop, this is easily achieved using layer masks and clipping masks. It would be highly beneficial to have a similar feature in InDesign, allowing users to place images directly behind text that can still be edited (font, size, and content) without converting it to outlines.

    Benefits for Users:

    Increased flexibility and efficiency when working with text and images
    Ability to maintain the editability of the text (users can continue to adjust font, size, and wording)
    More intuitive design options, especially for users familiar with both Photoshop and InDesign
    Reduces the need for complex workarounds and saves time by allowing direct, flexible adjustments to text and image placement
    Feature Suggestion:
    Introduce a new option allowing users to use text as a transparent "mask" through which an underlying image layer is visible. This could be implemented as a "Layer Mask" or "Image Mask" feature, functioning similarly to clipping masks in Photoshop.

    How about fixing InDesign’s Export to EPUB tools? Sure, you can convert an InDesign file to EPUB, but it really doesn’t do a complete job. Hanging indents and alignment of lists come in in a very spotty way. The alignments and spacing to hanging indents don’t hold. And then, while straight Roman text converts fairly nicely, when there are switches to italic or boldface text the type tends to get all scrunched up and is not at all presentable. I thought the best part of the ongoing subscription model was that fixes to issue would be forthcoming in a much, much quicker manner than with software updates every year or so. For the most part that’s true. But the continued messy results I mention for the conversion process from InDy to EPUB really needs to be fixed. It’s taking away from InDy’s reputation and use as a professional design and layout tool. I understand that hand-coding CSS can prob’ly remedy this, but I’m long past the stage where I’ve kept up any semblance of coding skills. I’m semi-retired and don’t think it’s too much to ask that InDesign get with the program. (Sorry for the bad pun!)

    Add support for running InDesign Server on Windows Server Core OS.
    Core OS has a smaller resource footprint and is less vulnerable from a security standpoint than Server Standard. Some orgs including ours prefer to migrate to that OS where possible for this reason.

16. Hide pages no spreads

    The HIDE feature is excellent, and we have used it in many ways. HOWEVER, hiding individual PAGES would be more useful than SPREADS. In this example, we have background images running over multiple spreads (panels mounted on a wall with various gutter widths). Turning off the 'blank' pages (different parent pages for each gap).
