Media Panel is missing all playback settings for MP4 files in InDesign 2020
CC 2020 is missing all its control settings for playing MP4 files in an interactive pdf. Until this year's upgrade you had multiple options on what Controller Functions appeared when playing/displaying MP4's in an Interactive PDF document.
Navigation Points have been re-introduced in the Media panel. This feature is available in the latest release of InDesign (version 16.0). Please use this release to use Navigation Points for Video/Audio files.
However, the Controller options will not be available. As communicated earlier, all options (Controller options being one of them) related to Flash/Flash player have been removed from InDesign as Flash Player is now being EOL’d (End of Life).

I think the removal of the controller is related to the removal of Flash support.

Your support page on this says that it _should_ have said panel, however it doesn't.

Agreed! Please bring back this function.
May I ask why it was removed in the first place?
Seems a little counterproductive to have less control

Hello,
The videos I import into an interactive PDF work and play during the final export.
But it still missing the controllers that allow to play / pause / or move in the time of the videos. These controllers however appear in the EPUB interactivity overview ???
And when I look different tutorials in internet, I see that it also missing 2 options in the French interface compared to the English version.(see attachments)
thank you for your solutions, good day / night. -

Here's hope it's just a little bug. Losing the functionality would really suck.

Why get rid of a function? That is a huge function many companies use for indesign decks. If we don't have that feature our account people make us use PP and that's terrible for everyone

We are a marketing communication agency, producing multimedia content for our client. pdf presentations for clients with integrated videos. We do need this functionality back! It was working perfectly before, no reason to take it out!

We place videos in InDesign for presentations to clients – It's very important that we control this function.

I along with a team of 10+ other people I work with all use the controller functions to create interactive PDFs for proposals/RFPs on a weekly basis. If we do not have controllers to start/stop video in the PDFs, we have to let the videos play all the way through. Nothing more frustrating than have multiple videos all playing at once and no way to stop them.

Very important. We use these all the time for presenting animation concepts to clients and for pitching documents,.
