I want to be able to select multiple table rows that are not connected.
I would like the ability to select multiple table rows that are not connected. For example, I expected to be able to CTRL+Select the rows I want to change the fill color. For example, if I have 20 rows, but I want to select Row 2, 6, 8, 14, and 17 so that I am able to edit the fill color/text color/row height, etc. in those rows only. Currently, I have to do them all individually and in much larger tables (50+ rows.) It's such a pain!
The ability to fill every other row, or every third, etc. in the table styles is handy, but it isn't effective in every situation.
Thanks for raising this feature ask. We are reviewing this

Who is the PM for InDesign, and how is this NOT a thing?

So much needed. I can't think of how many hours have been wasted applying styling on a cell-by-cell basis...

I confirme, especially for any "non usual workflow" in inDesign, like building a schedule or other, that would help a lot.

Don't feel it has to be rows or columns only. Being able to CTRL-click to select an arbitrary group of cells would be very useful for many types of tables I work with.

Glad to see that you are considering this and hope that you will include columns, as I suggested in request, Discontiguous selection of rows and columns: 'Being able to select rows and columns that are not adjacent to one another would useful to me. For example, one would like to select columns 1 to 3 and 5 to 7, leaving column 4 unselected. Often I need to adjust the width of some columns or the height of some rows, leaving others in the middle of the table unadjusted. One instance is when I use a blank column or row to separate groups of data; another is when several discontiguous columns have much longer labels than other columns.'

I guess this can only be done by scripting. Using that its sort of a breeze, but setting up such scripts and understanding is a complet different world :(
I would be a breeze if we had an Interface like GREP, where you can use "simple" to setup properties for a table. That would be even better than scripting, since users sort of understand that. Adjusting a table would be breeze :) -

This is common practice in many applications and definitely should be included. This has added so much time to my data entry on tables.

Really need this as well. And considering it's been a few years now, Adobe is just plain refusing to. How unfortunate.

HOW is this CTRL+Select not a feature yet???? I'm working on a beast of schedule with over 300 events and literally have to select the rows individually. :-/ Like the user below said, if we can do this is Microsoft Office, there's no justification or excuse for this feature not being available in this pricey publishing software. And now that you've gone subscription-based, we're paying 10x more than when we could purchase the disks back in the day. C'mon guys, it's 2019...listen to your customers. :-|

This would be a homerun. Please get this feature added to InDesign.

This has been a necessary function since the beginning of InDesign. C'mon--if a person can perform this function in Microsoft Excel, then Adobe can make this update possible!

This is a much-needed feature. Developers, please stop faffing around with uneccessary 'improvements' and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, pleeeease get this feature working - on a 250pp doc that is all-tabular with 10,000 rows, this would be a miracle of Indesign evolution.
