    Agreed! A [Flag as duplicate] button would be nice so that the forum users could help out with the consolidation process.

    Also some other buttons to flag things as [this feature already exists] or [this is a not a feature suggestion] would help.

    Probably not quite what you're envisioning, but as someone who works with CSS/SASS a lot and is used to making styling changes via a code editor, I've often wished for a more advanced way to get into the nitty gritty of indesign's style sheets. For complex documents, endlessly clicking through tiny panels to edit styles gets very tedious. And we are very limited by not being able to apply multiple styles to the same character/paragraph as mentioned in other comments.

    Overall I would like to see indesign’s styles totally re-worked so that they can function more like CSS, or—dreaming here—actually be fundamentally rebuilt/remapped to their equivalent properties on the platform of standard CSS. Then they could be natively exported to/imported from a standard CSS file.

    This is probably just due to your margin settings...set those all to zero in the new document window. I just created a new 1px by 1px document as a test and it worked fine.

    Fix for this issue is available in the latest InDesign version - InDesign 2023. The fix should solve most of the issues that were seen earlier.

    A new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" is introduced in Preferences > Composition dialog. It is turned ON by default for new documents created in ID2023. For documents created in previous InDesign versions, this option is turned off by default - which can be turned ON to see the improved behavior.

    We do an online magazine that includes PDF advertisements. If the advertiser included hyperlinks in their original PDF ad, those are ignored once the PDF is placed into the indesign doc. So after placing in InDesign, we have to hand-draw dummy boxes over top of the ad's hyperlinked area and then manually type in the URL to make it an active hyperlink. It would be nice if there was checkbox in the IMPORT OPTIONS pane to "IMPORT HYPERLINKS" from the placed PDF.
