1. Paragraph style outline cuts through text

   After reopening chapters I sometimes find the outline of a paragraph going through the text instead of below it. I can't relyably reproduce it, but it has happened several times.

2. Cannot delete empty pages

   I have empty pages at the end of my chapter. There are text frames on them, because they got created automatically. There is no content in the text frames. If I delete the page, it's gone until I scroll, then it re-appears. If I delete the text frame, the page duplicates itself. I've seen the issue described in the forums, but the solution is such a hack.

3. Reopen last closed/unsaved document(s)

   You should be able to reopen the last closed/unsaved document(s) in case you accidentally close a document and click "Don't Save."

   The Chrome browser has a similar feature: "reopen closed tabs." And Google Docs allows you to view and restore all previous versions of a document.

   With Indesign, if you accidentally click "don't save" the document is gone forever, according to the support person I spoke to. You can't find it in the archive folder and you can't "undo" that either.

   I was on deadline and accidentally closed a large car dealer ad with 20 cars in it and in my haste clicked "Don't Save."

   Luckily it was approved with no changes or I'd have really been set back time wise.

   You should be able to reopen the last closed/unsaved document(s) in case you accidentally close a document and click "Don't Save."

4. metadata delimiter

   Hello, This is to report an ID behavior that constitutes a bug (to my thinking). This behavior has existed in every version of ID that I'm familiar with from the beginning through CC 2021. Documentation states that you can use any delimiter character you prefer in File Info. But it doesn't tell you that it will change your delimiters to semicolons as soon as you hit OK on the File Info dialog. This has been a thorn in my side for many years. I produce periodical scientific journals using InDesign as my layout tool. And ID is awesome for that. But every time I export a PDF, I'm then forced to manually change all those semicolons back to commas (that's what our website demands for full searching/indexing capability). Until our webmaster makes a change that will allow semicolons, I have to endure that frustration on every author list and keyword list in every PDF that we publish. There are very few, if any, options for batch search/replacing text in metadata of a collection of PDFs. I hope the ID development staff will find it in their hearts to change ID's preference for semicolons - or at least provide some alternative solution for exported PDFs.

5. Placing Graphics is missing from online User Guide Manual

   When going to InDesgin online User Guide, the whole section of placing images is missing (Both in English and Hebrew - didn't check other languages).

   I mentions this in Adobe Support Communities on May 22, 2019 Here:

6. No one else can open my files

   I've had several recent designs that I've been the author on, that when I share the working file can't be opened by other users. This has occurred with a company work design file and a personal project design. In both cases, these files were made with InDesign 2021 on Windows 10. The other users that tried to access my files were on Macs (unknown OS) using InDesign 2021 as well. This is problematic and damaging to workflows if other users can't open and work in files created by someone else.

   PS. It is unclear if this is an issue between users on the same systems Mac/Mac or Windows/Windows, but has been demonstrated as a cross-system issue Windows/Mac.

    I can't add shortcut to:
    1. Auto text reflow, in presences panel
    2. Show\hide thumbnails, in pages panel

14. Adobe indd 2021

    The welcome page has a bug. The filenames are double. In addition to that, we do not get a notice anymore if somebody else is trying to open the same document. Really annoying. Hope you´ll be able to fix it.

16. Datamerge Trims Spaces

    I just noticed that Datamerge trims leading and trailing spaces from text columns in CSV files when merging. The resulting text doesn't have the proper spaces on either end, even though the spaces are present in the CSV.

    This is problematic because if you have two text fields that are being merged in the same text frame without a line break, you can't include a space at the end of one or the start of the other to be inserted between them. You can put a space in between the placeholders, but that won't achieve the desired result if the two fields sometimes need a space and other times don't.

18. Upgrade InDesign v 15 to InDesign v 16

    I have an Adobe creative account where I worked on Indesign v 15 a few weeks ago, but for a few weeks now when Indesign v 16 appeared, I can't upgrade to the new version.
    The message is "you do not have a compatible Windows system" although my version of Windows is Windows PRO 10 version 2004.
    Why can't I upgrade?
    I am enclosing the configuration of my computer and the error message that appears to me.

19. No tool type disable feature. Can't close.

    Adobe Indesign 2020.

    VERY ANNOYING. I can't even close the boxes. I have to save, quit app, and open again...EVERY TIME. This includes all the tool tips.

20. Windows 10 Filetype capture

    I let the Creative Cloud Desktop upgrade me from 2020 to 2021 and uninstall 2020... only the file associations didn't get updated and there isn't a way to select Indesign 2021.

    Maybe have a manual button option you can hit to select default filetypes if an upgrade goes awry.

    Meanwhile what's the quick fix?
