Font not appearing
A font I have installed and previously been able to select in InDesign is now not showing for me on any new document I create. I have updated InDesign and double checked the font (it shows in all other programs) but the only way I can get the font to appear in InDesign is to copy text from another file that has my font in which is not really ideal.

Indesign so slow with certain files
I updated to Big Sur and CC21... now a lot of my indesign files don't work, super slow, lagging, any links display as pixelated... I can't use files that have taken me hours upon hours to create. I have been on phone calls and screen sharing with Adobe for over 4 hours and no solve. Have had 2 hours of screen share with Mac, no solve. Help!?

Not all Color Panel menus accessible via keyboard shortcut
When setting a custom keyboard shortcuts, there is no option for
Panel Menus > Color: HSB
And other color models. Those should be added. All panel menu items should be available consistently.

'see' reference in index
InDesign CC, latest version
Strange bug (or at least unwanted behavior) I encountered today in Indesign:
For a new book project, I used an earlier book as a template (a lot of the settings and styles should be the same), replacing all the text and images. The index in the earlier book contained 'see'-references. For the new book I generated a new index ('replace old index' checked), and the 'see'-references (just these) from the old book also showed up!
I would expect checking the 'replace old index' box would prevent this.

Letter "a" does not appear
I was configuring Indesign Preferences on a new document. Suddenly, the letter "a" stopped working. I mean, I can't write a single word with the letter "a".
Tried to open older documents, and the letter appeared when I pressed the button!1 vote -
convert footnotes
Just a small thing..
When InDesign convert footnotes to endnotes I need to click 'Done' twice. the first window should be closed automatically1 vote -
sticky rollover state on form checkboxes and radio buttons
I'm having an issue with checkboxes and radio buttons. I have a normal, off, rollover, and on state. The off state is 70% paper fill, the on and rollover states are slightly larger graphics with 100% fill and drop shadows, and the on state also has a green fill.
When exported to interactive pdf, the rollover state sticks and stays even after mouse out, causing the off state to rest on top of the rollover state. If I continue to mouse over the element, the drop shadow will get thicker and increasingly darker until black.

On launching indesign by opening a file, Indesign loses all its tools until 15 seconds after an action
Recent development in INDD 16.3 (2021)
INDD opens fine and from the open screen recent files or new files open fine.
But when launching indesign by clicking on a file, it opens without any tools available.
tool windows appear, later after something is done like selecting a workspace

When I try to scale something using shift or command+shift it does not scale proportionately. Unsure what to do.

BUG - Autonumbering turns off when hiding a layer - BUG
Steps to reproduce:
- Create 2 threaded text frames on a page.
- Fill them with text (Lorem ipsum)
- Autonumber the paragraphs with Autonumbering feature in InDesign - regular 1, 2, 3-list will do.
- Create a new layer
- Move the first frame in the text flow to that layer
- Turn off visibility of that layer....
The autonumbering is gone from any autonumbered list!!!

Tell (X,Y) values of specific table cells
When I have tables in a document, I often have to lay text boxes over specific cells to achieve my desired result and it would be helpful to have a way to know the specific (X,Y) values of each cell so that I can line the relevant text box up appropriately.

line break within Hebrew word
InDesign frequently breaks lines of Hebrew text in the middle of words. The work around is to add a Zero Length Joiner, but that can be a tedious process, especially when InDesign keeps that word together but breaks the line in the middle of a different word.

InDesign does not handle a nukta with Tamil script
The Tamil Unicode block does not contain a nukta, for languages written in Tamil script that need a nukta there are two characters in the Grantha block that can (possibly) be used.

InDesign version info attached (Mac OS 10.15.7).
I've been dealing with persistent crashing while trying to open ID files. For certain files, the beach ball of death appears for an extended (and sometimes endless) period, at which point I force-quit and open the file again. On the second attempt, the file always opens properly. This happens with most, not all, ID files — so I literally have to restart ID 30+ times a day. No fun.
I've reset preferences and even reinstalled ID from scratch, but no luck. One thing I noticed is that if I move the ID file…

Object States panel - Renaming is not working
InDesign isn't allowing me to rename the different states in "object layer states". I have looked this up and there are a couple of other people who have posted about the same thing. I am running InDesign 16.0.2 and its on a MacBook Pro running the OS BIg Sur.

Please note that you would need to update to the latest macOS Monterey 12.1 also to see this working correctly.
