Copying from Illustrator pastes with strange colors
I used to be able to do this with no problem: copy a vector from Illustrator into InDesign and it look the same. Now, when I paste a logo, say, a teal and yellow one, into InDesign, the teal turns red! I have color swatches created in the Illustrator file, but even when I haven't done that, I've never seen this happen before. I now have to import many vector images instead, which is a huge inconvenience.

Surface Pro 4 And Gestures
I have a new Surface Pro 4. When using Adobe applications, gestures on the touch pad (for example pinching or scrolling) either don't work or are really bugy with little control. I was told by Adobe that this is due to the detachable keyboard on the Surface Pro.

InDesign for macOS clearing Undo stack
- Adobe InDesign 2026 v21.2.0.30 for macOS
- Restart macOS, Open document in InDesign, and work with document normally.
- Undo should remain available, with a long history of undo steps while working on a document.
- During the course of working with the document at some point the history will clear and undo will become unavailable via keyboard shortcut, menu, or the panel.
This behavior is similar to the behavior described in ID-4274243 (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/50813147--id-4274243-indesign-clearing-undo-stack-frequent?linkId=100000398096855) but unlike that issue, this is affecting users on macOS and is present in v21.2.0.30.

pdf
Many occasions over the last couple of weeks when I try to export a PDF, it just blocks, wheel turning in the top right corner, and nothing happens until I forcibly close the program through Task Manager. On may occasions the completed PDF then appears in the folder.

InD closes itself 50% of time when I close my last open doc; very annoying
I'm using InD 2026 recent release (today is 2/10/26). About 50 percent of the time, when I close my last open document, InD will close itself entirely. I have to go through the hassle of reopening it to get back to work. Then, upon reopen, it says that the last doc I closed may be damaged. This doesn't fly when you've just laid out and saved a 300-page text book. Can this be fixed soonest?

Severe UI Latency and Rendering Delays After Updating to Version 21.0 and Later (Windows 11 – Build 26200.7923)
Description:
After updating to Version 21.0 and all subsequent releases, the application exhibits significant UI latency and rendering delays. The user interface becomes intermittently unresponsive, with interactions (panel updates, tool changes, UI redraws, etc.) taking 30–40 seconds to visually update. This behavior occurs consistently across sessions.
Environment:OS: Windows 11 Pro — Build 26200.7923
Storage Tested: OneDrive-based project files and fully local NVMe SSD storage (no performance difference)
Systems Tested: Issue reproduced on two separate PCs with different hardware configurations

Corrections only show when display is set to high quality
We have encountered this problem some times but were now able to do a screen-grab of that:
We have made some text corrections in a document. We usually work with the display set to "normal quality". But somehow those corrections were gone. Just by chance we changed the display setting to "high quality". Having changed that setting the corrections suddenly had shown right.
Before making the attached video we had corrected the word "Colours" into "Colors". In the video you can see that this is only shown right after changing the display setting. When we save that file, restart InDesign,…1 vote -
Links panel
Hi Support Team,
I’ve been using Adobe InDesign for the last few years, and after the latest update it looks like the option to copy the missing file name from the Links panel has been removed.
This feature was extremely useful, because you could quickly copy the file name and search for it across available storage locations (local drive / external drives / server).

unable to open any version of indesign, illustrator, photoshop or lightroom
When attempting to open lightroom, indesign, illustrator, or photoshop on versions after 20.2 I am unable to without it either crashing or attempting to open. I was told by a service agent to just keep the old version till they fix it but it has been three months since this problem arose, and it is still not fixed. On top of this the older versions are running slower, and "help" pop ups have been popping up on my indesign and I am not able to close them.

Assets disappear when dragging off the page onto the artboard.
Version 21.1 x64
Assets disappear when dragging them off the page and onto the artboard. This also causes the the preview to ignore everything outside of the bleed effectively eliminating the artboard entirely. See attached.

Show Import Options no longer remains enabled
The “Show Import Options” checkbox does not remain enabled in the “Place” dialog. In some cases, it stays checked for one or two items, but when importing more than that, the option is automatically deselected.
Previously, this setting remained enabled. While this may appear to be a minor issue, it causes significant inconvenience and seriously disrupts the workflow.

Error in batch conversion from InDesign 21.0 to PDF
Doing a batch conversion of InDesign files to PDF is not working.
InDesign version 21.0
Steps:
1. Go to https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/createpdf/
2. Select Convert to PDF
3. “Add a file from your device” selected
4. Selected InDesign files created in version 21.0
5. Acrobat will show converting and then conversion fail

New image replacement functionality
InDesign question. I work with placeholder images quite often in low resolution (LR). I then need to replace them with the high resolution (HR) versions once approved. This was always a simple task of replacing the LR image with the new HR image via the links panel. The new image would replace the old exactly, no resizing required. Since the latest update this is not the case. The new image comes in at completely the wrong size and I have to go through the document to rework EVERY image. “Fit frame to content” no longer works in InDesign 21.1

2. Select a text frame or an image frame
3. Press Option + Command + C (Fit Frame to Content)Expected result:

The command is still listed in Keyboard Shortcuts and cannot be removed.
Double-clicking the bottom-center resize handle still works.Notes:

I want Fit Spread in Window to work, all the time, every time!!!!!!!!!!!! I am using version 21.0.1 on macOS 26.2. This defect has been around for a long time, and many people have complained about it. My office colleagues all have the same issue. It works today, and then not tomorrow. It works for 5 minutes in one file, and then suddenly stops working. A Page layout program should be able to display pages! Option-drag distance not remembered correctly when duplicating command-D
Title says it, when I usually duplicate an object using option key and after that type Command-D the object was typically duplicated with the same distance. Not anymore…

InDesign 2026 application window automatically snapping to screen width
I like to stretch the InDesign application window partially onto my second monitor but since updating to 2026 it keeps snapping back to the edges of a single monitor.
It seems that if you pull two edges of the app frame away from the edge of the screen (left and bottom, for instance) it doesn't happen. But as soon as one of the edges goes back up against the edge of the monitor it resizes the width.
There is also strangeness when trying to use "normal" windows functions like the clicking the control menu (top left corner of the app…

Numbering
If the numbering didn't start on the first page of the file, but on a specific page (determined by the user), it would be a very significant improvement.
I'd like this configuration to be more flexible and usable for the user, allowing us to modify the configuration (numbering start page, the numbering progression and other features).1 vote
