Document title field doesn't handle pasted content that includes paragraph characters.
In the File Information window: If you paste a document title into the Document title field (that includes a return character) it messes with the title field. Maybe you could add scroll bars to solve this…

layer order
InDesign is not honoring the layer stack. When I Select All and Create Outlines, some layers are moved to the top where they should not be. I have tried various configurations of the "... Remember Layers" options in the Layers panel, and this has no effect. This appears to be a bug.

when I place an A3 illustrator file into in-design A4 it scales down the content. The content should stay the same size
when I place an A3 illustrator file into in-design A4 it scales down the content. The content should stay the same size as it does if I place it into an A3 in-design document. Is this a bug or can I stop the scaling down?

Inside, Outside, Upside Down
InDesign 14.0.2 (and earlier)
In File > New, the Bottom Margin is in the upper right and the Inside Margin is in the lower left.
In File > Document Setup, these two controls are reversed. The Bottom Margin is in the lower left and the Inside Margin is now in the upper right.
File > Edit Document Presets matches File Document Setup.
Please make the positions of these four controls consistent every place they appear.

split layout view is changing so both views are the same page when I copy paste
Split layout view is changing so both views are the same page when I copy/paste. So the left is Page A, and the right is Page B. If I copy something from page A, then click on the right view to paste into Page B, the left view also becomes Page B. Rather than staying Page A. It didn't do this before, but it started a few months ago.

pages missing
Entire pages are missing under the Hyperlink destination tab running v. 14.0.2 on MacBook Pro. Steps to produce - Document with over 300 pages/spreads (non-facing pages), hyperlinking a text box to a page location in the document, pulling the menu to select page number and hundreds of pages are missing.

master page
The header items of my master pages are not always exporting. The top image is form the PDF. The bottom image is from the InDesign file. Notice how the gray rule is missing from the PDF. Sometimes the rule is missing from the left hand pages, sometimes it's on the right-hand pages.
The affected master pages were child master pages, and I was able to get around this issue by detaching the rule from the parent master page, and making it standalone on the child master page. Has anyone else experienced this issue? This appears to be a very recent…

master page
this is a bug, not a suggestion of new feature. On a page with Master Page A applied, the feature in Master Page A is detectable , pickable, and get union with object added to the page (e.g. a picture become embedded in the master page black rectangle )

Bug: Mac AppleScript change text returns replacement except last character
Search ("find what") and replace ("change to") does not return the expected results when replacing text. It truncates the replacement by one character.
Steps to reproduce
1. Create a new InDesign file (see attached test.indd)
2. Create a text box
3. Add text in the text box including the word "test"
4. Run the following script (see attached) test.scpt
5. Expected the return results to be "foo" but it returns "fo"tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2019"

Keyboard shortcuts to move around Layout not working (listed under Layout Menu)
These page and spread move shortcuts, listed under the Layout Menu, aren't working, making it very laborious to move through my 80 spread layout.

Pages overview lag and stutter when using alternate layouts
When using alternate layouts, navigation between pages is horrendous. Lag, stutter and erratic and unpredictable scrolling. Often the scroll bars "jump" or "skip", which makes it a nightmare to navigate between pages. This has been an issue for years.

Page palette
My page palette shows both the master-pages and the document pages outside the palette margins in vertical view. I can sort of work around it when selecting horizontal view but it is messy and still cuts of some of the pages on the outside.
Restoring the preferences when opening Indesign fixes this bug but it's annoying. Is there a permanent solution for this?1 vote -
A5 paper size wrong
The paper size for A5 in the presets is technically wrong as it should be 148.5mm wide and not 148mm. You can't change the built-in presets but it would be really helpful to do so as our onward print workflow relies on 148.5mm wide files and it's really annoying to have to change it after it's all been designed if you forget to change the page size at the beginning.

Master page bug
When I try to adjust a master page in Indesign cc2019 (14.0.1) it makes a real mess. It used to be that if I had, for instance, a master page with a 6p margin on all sides and including threaded text boxes across the spread, if I changed the outer margin to 7p instead, the text box would automatically fit the new space. Now, the text box box turned into a very tiny box in the inner margin that has no relation to the margins I have set. In addition, other boxes on the page which are not part of…

new document dialogue wont accept size
INdesign 14.0.1
File > New Document
In the new document dialogue box:I want to create a custom document 190mm wide and 25 mm high.
I enter the 190mm in Width box
I enter 25mm in Height Box
I move out of the Height box and figure I have entered changes to 211.667 mm.this happens no matter if I use the print or web dialogue window.
This makes it impossible for me to start a new document in the size I want
... so that's not a total pain in the **** is it?

Expand the Margins in the “New document” dialog and change the Margins for the defined page accordingly.

Turning facing pages back on makes first Master page a spread
This is a new issue that did not exist before: 1. I have a facing-page document with single Master pages (one for the left and one for the right). see "step-1.jpg"
2. I turn off facing pages. see "step-2.jpg" 3. I turn on facing pages again and it automatically turns the first Master page into a spread (which in-turn alters the layout of the entire document). see "step-3.jpg" How do I fix this so that re-checking facing pages keeps that Master pages as singles?1 voteHello All,

existing file size won't change > InDesign CC 2019
Today I noticed that if I use an existing file > save as new file name > then change document set up (size) the document says it's the correct size but it is not!
After creating a PDF, I checked the file data and the size was not correct! Did this 7-8 times to make sure it wasn't a user error. Being that I do 100's of print ads a month, this is a HUGE issue.
