print booklet
InDesign CS6, ver. 8.1 both skips and reorders booklet pages.
In a sixteen-page booklet Print Booklet prints only eight pages and those out of order.
Sheet A ought to print p. 16 and p. 1 on the obverse and p.2 and p. 15 on its reverse.
Instead it prints p. 3 and p. 1 on the obverse and p. 4 and p. 3 on the reverse.
Sheet B continues the confusion, printing p. 6 and p. 5 on the obverse and p. 8 and p. 7 on the reverse.

Package command, distorted vector graphics in pdf
Indesign 14.0.1. MacOS 10.14.4.
Using Package command with Include Pdf option outputs linked .AI vector logo low resolution / distorted. No error messages.
No problems with normal pdf export with same Pdf Preset.2 votes -

Trying to package a file and this error shows up that plugins needs to be installed - See attached.How can I delete or install them?

Unable to package some InDesign files, error message appears
Adobe InDesign CC 2017.1 release, 12.1.0.56 x64 build for Windows
Open an .indd file, press File menu and select package menu item.
Expected result: the file (catalog) is packaged.
Actual result: the file (catalog) is NOT packaged. An error occurs about missing plugins: STEP-N-DESIGN.LOGIC.WIN.CC10.PLN EXTENSISFONTMANAGEMENTIDCC2014X64.APLN. (see attachment).
Additional information: this problem occurs only by some files, not by all of them.2 votes -

Get error message when exporting document to PDF
InDesign CC2018 (13.1) -- will get an error message when exporting a document to PDF, especially if it is saving over and replacing a previous PDF version. Then both versions disappear from the finder, and then I can sometimes successfully export the document. Usually takes a couple of attempts before it can export a viable PDF. This just started happening.

Recursive packaging
That's a old problem for me : I link Illustrator / Photoshop files in Indesign, and these files can also have various links to various files. When I do a "package" in Indesign, it copies the links but not the links of links, and that often cause problems.
Can you make all the softwares capable of recursively package sub-links, and also check for doubles (because various links sometimes have links to the same sub-files).1 vote -

macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 InDesign 20.5です。
日本語フォントはダイナフォント、フォントワークス、イワタ、リョービ諸々パッケージされます。
合成フォントもパッケージされて、ドキュメントを開く際、「フォントが見つかりません」と騒いで、非常に鬱陶しいです。

Footnotes display spanning columns correctly, don't print across both columns
First time I've had to use the footnote options in InDesign. I have several pages with footnotes which occur at the bottom of each page in each associated text block. Span across columns is checked in both the Footnote Style I created, as well as in the Layout options. The footnotes display correctly on screen as intended. (See second screenshot)
When I print spreads from InDesign to an Epson P5000, the footnotes only print the text that is under the lefthand column. All of the footnote text on the right disappears. (See first screenshot)

Extra Print Dialog Box
I updated my operating system to Window 11 last week. Now, every time I go to print from InDesign, when I hit the setup screen to enter my printer settings, I get an additional dialog box. On the box I have to click the "more settings" link to get to my printer.
I go to my printer's dialog box, select my settings there, click print, then I have to click print on that new dialog box which takes me back to the original InDesign print dialog box. All of my settings on there for the project that I had selected…

Some dielines converting to filled shapes
Environment:
CS 2025 (InDesign 20.0.1, Illustrator 29.1)
Mac Studio (M2 Ultra, 192gb, Sonoma 14.7.1)We receive dielines as .dxf files from engineering. We open these files in Illustrator and create a layered file (dieline and art), export the individual layers as dieline and art, then impose the project using InDesign. Some dielines are changing from a stroke to a filled shape (think Minus Front) once the .pdf file is written from InDesign. InDesign 20.0 neihter packaging next to the source file nor replacing images from the original folder
i'm suffering from a weird problem: nothing wants to use the original folder except the export command. When i try to replace an image the program navigates me to the last used folder unless i've chosen the Original folder option in the Preferences under File Handling menu. Same issue when i try to package a document.
I've tried to delete all the preferences. ALL of them. I've emptied all the cache. ALL. Uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign: the newly installed app tried to package into the last used folder (!?). The Preferences>File Handling> Default Relink folder menu does nothing. I can…

InDesign only prints empty pages
After installing InDesign a couple of days ago, I created a simple document containing a PDF and four lines of text. Then I wanted to print it, but InDesign just printed empty pages (two of them even the document had just one page).
I tried to export it to a PDF file which worked fine. Other INDD documents show the same problem. So InDesign prints only empty pages.

missing print presets after upgrading to v 19.5
I am running InDesign on Windows. All of my print presets have disappeared. Is there a way to restore them? If I can't, how can I prevent this from happening again? I have been working on InDesign for 6 years, and this is the first time it's happened to me.

Alpha channel issue in print pdf
Hi All,
My single-color PDF document that I uploaded to the Scout printer has an error stating that it uses the Alpha channel and is treated as a CMYK plate. My print page did not have an alpha channel.
Could someone please advise me on how to determine whether the Alpha channel is there and how to prevent this sort of printer issue? My print PDF document is attached here.Regards,
