[ID-4272086]TAB indents are getting removed on dragging the left side
Good morning, I updated InDesign to version 21 and I'm having problems with the tab stops on both PCs. In the tab settings, if I set three tab stops, for example, the first at 10 cm, the second at 20 cm, and the third at 30 cm, if I move the first one, the other two disappear.
With the beta version, there were no problems. I tried resetting the preferences, but nothing. A technician connected and checked the problem. He said to report the bug.
The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2026(v21.0.1.006). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application, click on the context menu on the top right, and click on Check for App Updates.

There is NOTHING in the Pre-Release section of Apps apart from an Illustrator update.
So, no, it's not fixed.

same here: if I want to add a new tabulator on the left or went to change the position, all other tabletops right of it are deleted and I have to make all tabletops new again. This is the most critical bug I found so far ... wich will me make consider to use the old version of Indesign again

Version 21.0: If there are multiple tabs in a text block, any action on one of them (for example, you move marker with the mouse) causes all tabs to the right of the one you touched to simply disappear.

InDesign 21: After placing the first tab stop, I cannot place another one before it (= to the left of it). Positioning of new tab stops is only possible to the right of it. Moving a tab arrow in the tab palette deletes all tab stops on its right hand side.

InDesign is the world's leading page layout application...and tabs are broken.
Sanyam Talwar, it's been over two weeks! What is Adobe's plan for fixing this?

When attempting to adjust the location of a tab using the tab dialog, either in Paragraph Styles or when the Tabs panel the result is that all other other Tab locations are deleted.
I am experiencing this issue in InDesign 21.0 Mac OS Tahoe 26.1.

Still an issue on 6 November! Tab management in InDesign has always been a bit rubbish (Word does it better!!) but this is now just broken. It took me an hour this morning to make some minor changes to a document that should have taken literally two minutes.

When dragging a tab, the subsequent tabs are lost. You tap a tab and it disappears.
These are quite a few bugs that never occurred in previous versions.

Is there any kind of timeline for a fix? This is a potentially huge issue for us if we have to downgrade everyone and all of our projects.

Yup this is causing major problems with my work flow. Left-hand tabs suddenly become right-hand tabs when the position is moved, leader dots just disappear, plus a total inability to set more than two tabs, then one vanishes. Driving me nuts today trying to fix this. C'mon Adobe!!

Adjusting tabs in the latest version of InDesign is broken. Whether you try to adjust the location of a tab using the arrow keys on the keyboard, dragging the tab location with the mouse, or entering a precise value, if it's not the last tab on the line, InDesign deletes the tab you are trying to work on.
Reverting back to v20.5 solves the problem, but I've already converted several publications to newer versions and am hoping for a quick fix before having to use IDML to roll those publications back.

When opening INDD files on v 21.0, tabs to the right of a tab you are moving disappear and we lose the tab setup. We need this fixed fairly urgently, as we use tabs quite frequently.
