Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem
Since I update indesign to CC 2019 I can't print to booklet all of my .indd files which were overwrited in .indd version CC 2019 (and even the older versions can't be printed to booklet...).
I got the error message : "printing error : The Adobe Print engine has failed to output your data due to an unknow problem"
indesign 14.0.1
Windows 7 version 6.1
printer : Adobe PDF
Here is the error log :
%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
%%[Page: 1]%%
%%[ Error: invalidrestore; OffendingCommand: restore ]%%
Stack:
-save-
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
it seems that the log tells the problem is in the page 1 but when delete this page the problem persists with the other pages...
My print settings are in the text file attached to this post
We have been able to reproduce the issue and it is currently under investigation.

Any Update on a resolution. It happens to me when I am trying to print separations and leave the "Trapping: Application Built-In" option on. If I turn off it will print but if I have it on it will not and gives me the error shown above.

Whenever I try to print from Indesign this message keeps popping up.
"Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem."

Any updates on this problem. I've been dealing with it for 3 years. I was able to work around with acrobat, but that no longer works. A fix would be great.

Still not working in CC InDesign v17.0.1 or v17.4. have 1 pc that had updates disabled and using v15.1.3 and is the only one that still works with application built-in trapping.
how is it that this option has been broken for so long? theres not a single ppd i can use that makes this work. i have checked all colour settings and everything else is the same as the old version. the only difference is the indesign version > 15.1.3
please fix this issue. also does anyone on a windows pc have this working at all? i have tried 4 machines and none of them do here.
i will also add that CC no longer lets me install an older version than for the other pc's so this makes it quite difficult in an office with 4 other people trying to run the same process on a single users pc.
i need these output as a ps file in seperations for a very old dpx system. it does not accept any other format.

I am getting the same error. When I am trying to print certain jobs and trap setting is selected it gives me the error. (Print/Output/Trap Application Built in) I turn it off trap setting and then it lets me print. It was working in CC Indesign 16.1, but it has not worked in any newer versions that have come out afterwards. Not sure what update was made, but would you please fix it. We have called Adobe directly and the issue was supposed to be escalated, but it has been few months since we called with no resolution. Attached are images of the error and the trap setting that I am talking about.

Trying to print directly to any printer through ID is impossible. The work around is okay but a hassle. How can I fix an unknown problem?

I identified the problem, the error came from a font "Khmer UI" , which prevent the export of the booklet...
It is strange because this font is a defaut font and it shouldn't cause problem...
Is there a way to keep it to print the booklet or am I forced to change it? -

Após a atualização do Indesign (CC2019), quando tento imprimir livreto, aparece a mensagem "Erro de impressão: O Adobe Print Engine falhou ao imprimir seus dados, devido a um problema desconhecido" (Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem).
