InDesign CC 2018 workspace loading incorrectly
Since InDesign 2015 I have had the workspace customised for daily use however every time I restart InDesign my workspace shows it’s still selected however the panels collapse and some disappear entirely. I need to select reset workspace every single time without changing anything else and it goes back to my setup.
Is there a way to make this remember, as I thought saving workspaces is what this is supposed to be doing? And considering that I can reset my workspace and it does come back then something else is happening.
Hello All,
Thank you for your support. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.
If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.
Let us know your feedback in the comment section.
Thanks,
Abhinav Kaushik

I'm having the same issue, only it seems to be persistent with the 2018 version.

I'm having similar issues.
Saved workspace has to be "reset" every time I open Id.
Agree that software updates are getting worse & more frequent simultaneously.
I can only assume this is a deterrent for non-professionals to pay for full subscription fees. For the rest of us it's just a hassle to send debug reports when your staff should be doing this.

My workspace in Indd and Ilustrator keep changing randomly, and I have to manually reset to my saved workspace. Indd also keeps opening up CC Libraries on startup when I dont want it and I have to close the panel.

You'd think that this was the whole purpose of having a preferences file that saves your workspace as you left it. I've also been having the "control" panel disappear after moving it to the bottom of my screen, where I prefer it to be. It will occasionally disappear, and I have to reset work space for it to come back, even though I used the "windows" menu at the top to turn it on or off.

Same issue here.
It began a few ID-versions back, maby 2 years ago, and still remains in the most recent version (13.0) – even after replacing my macbook and a whole new OS (10.12.6 – not installed High Sierra yet to avoid early bugs) after clean install. This so annoying. Especially when I have to launch the programm after the many ID-crashes! I often have to restart the program 3-4 times in a row until I have all menues and functions back working.
Guys – please offer less software updates but therefore fewer and safe versions. We're all not using Adobe for fun but to do our daily business. So please fix the issues soon.
