Distorted Text and Graphics in high sierra
When opening a previously created file, I noticed small visual artifacts in the rendering of vector graphics in the file. As I zoomed in to inspect it, the artifacts began jumping all over the place, and as I zoomed in further, text on the page began presenting the same behavior.
Using InDesign 2017.1, Build 12.1.0.56 on a 2016 Macbook Pro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM), running macOS High Sierra 10.13.
This is a macOS10.13 issue, specific for some Intel GPU cards. Apple has fixed(partially) this issue inside macOS10.13.4 released build.
Following are the workaround for resolving this issue.
1) Update your mac machine to latest macOS10.13.4. Here, Apple has fixed this issue to some extent. You will face very less number of rendering issues.
2) Disable GPU preview and set display performance as typical.
Once you have updated to macOS10.13.4 .You might still face some rendering issues. Since, Apple has not fixed this issue completely.
Please switch off GPU rendering for these cases and report a separate post for tracking.

I am lecturing big classes in InDesign and it makes Adobe look like a bunch of amateurs when on the big screen I am trying to demonstrate things and all these screen artifacts are making my demonstrations look bad. Surely to God someone at Adobe must have tested this before letting the latest InDesign update out it's cage! Don't keep blaming MacOS either - why is it only InDesign that has this bug. If it was the OS, all applications would be doing this.

Since I updated my mac with high sierra and then installed the latest indesign 2018 working with indesign is very unpleasant. Pictures and text are not shown correctly. This is only happening in indesign - no other software I use, not illustrator or photoshop. Therefore I guess the problem is indesign. What can I do?
Version - Indesign CC 2018 and macOS High Sierra
Steps - ???
Result - This never happend before -

I only just updated to High Sierra and this issue is becoming a huge problem. Also, if I have InDesign open for about 30-60 minutes, it crashes, making me restart my computer. Really handy when working on a project. Not only can I not see what I'm designing, but then I have to restart my entire computer every hour! Please fix this problem ASAP!

FIX NOW.
What's the point of paying for a monthly subscription if you can't fix this bug with an update? I'd like a refund per month until this issue is fixed. You've had 5 months to do something about it and I can't work on what I need to do.

I returned my brand new, top-of-the-range Macbook Pro 13-inch when I discovered it has this issue. I'll need another machine soon as my top-of-the-range late 2013 15-inch MBP is getting a bit slow now. Do I get an under-specced Mac with a graphics card that actually works, or a Windows machine where this problem does not arise?
Your decision to leave this issue unresolved is seriously damaging the reputation of both Adobe and Apple among one of your core user groups.
It's your decision, Adobe and Apple, but we – the graphics and design professionals – are watching and listening. Your lack of engagement is forcing us to look for other solutions, even through many of us have been with Apple and Adobe for a decade or more.
Drive us away by your indifference and unwillingness to engage, and there is a big risk we won't come back.

Well Adobe, I've been getting in some trouble with leading and kerning with my text in indesign at the business I work at, if only the text wasn't all messed up so that I could see what im doing with it...

Do you have GPU Performance enabled in Preferences? That's been a known cause of visual rendering issues. Try disabling that setting and see if it helps.

This is happening in inDesign and illustrator – extremely frustrating, and making work (AKA my living) very time consuming. Any fix in sight?
